Sunseeker International has announced NextWave Yachting as its new representative for Hong Kong in a revamp of its distributor network across Asia.
Sunseeker M Singapore owned by Martin Chen and Max-Marine Asia headed by Craig Murphy continue to represent the British builder in Singapore and Thailand respectively. Other dealers in Asia include HYS Yachts in the Philippines, Unimat Precious in Japan and Hyundai yachts in South Korea.
Sean Robertson, Sales Director at Sunseeker International, said: “The Asia market is exceedingly important to us and this new strategy will allow us to assist each distributor to develop their market while prioritising customer service. This fresh approach provides us the platform to seek the very best distributors across the region.”
The network update comes ahead of the official premieres of five new models including the Manhattan 55, 88 Yacht and much-anticipated 90 Ocean.
“The new models are ideally suited to Asia, with brand-new contemporary interiors and layouts to match the dynamic styling of the exteriors,” Robertson said. “In addition to bringing the very best yachts to market, our clients can be assured they will be cared for given our renowned first-class service. Sunseeker’s current model ranges comprise Superyacht (50M Ocean, 42M Ocean, 131, 116 ), Yacht (100, 95, 90 Ocean, 88, 86, 76), Sport Yacht (74, 65), Predator (74, 60 EVO™, 55 EVO™, 50), Manhattan (68, 66, 55, 52) and Performance (Hawk 38).
Based in Poole since 1969, Sunseeker has been majority owned by China’s Wanda Group since 2013. The builder employs about 2,000 people and annually produces around 150 boats ranging from 38-161ft, with 95 per cent exported.
