Sanlorenzo, which has operations in La Spezia, Ameglia, Viareggio and Massa, plans to show the brand-new SD90 and SP110 among a strong display of 11 yachts at this year’s Genoa International Boat Show (September 22-27).
Sister brand Bluegame will show four models comprising the BG42, BGX60, BG72 and the new BG54 (Review, Issue 67) launched earlier this year.
The Genoa show marks the first appearance in Italy for the SD90 and SP110, which had their world premieres at the Cannes Yachting Festival in early September.
The SD90 will be joined by the SD96 from Sanlorenzo’s semi-displacement navetta line. Planing yachts on show include four asymmetrical models: the SL90A, SL96A, SL106A and SL120A, which will be the shipyard’s biggest yacht on display and had its world premiere at Cannes last year.
The SL78 and SL86 planing yachts will also be exhibited, while the SX76 and SX88 from the brand’s iconic crossover series round out the line-up.
There will be particular focus on the two new models. With a sub-24m hull length and 27.4m overall length, the SD90 is the entry-level yacht for a semi-displacement series and features an exterior by Bernardo Zuccon, interior by Patricia Urquiola and hull design in collaboration with Philippe Briand. Twin MAN i6-800 or 1,150hp CAT C18 are the engine options, producing top speeds of 14 knots and 17 knots respectively.
The SP110 is the first model in a new ‘smart performance’ line and marks Sanlorenzo’s entry into the world of sports yachts, with a top speed of 40 knots when employing all three 2,000hp MAN V12 engines. Tilli Antonelli coordinated the design of the two-deck open coupe, which features exterior lines by Zuccon, an interior by Piero Lissoni and a hull design by Marco Arnaboldi.
Simpson Marine represents both Sanlorenzo and Bluegame in Asia.
