Multihull Solutions has added another brand to its portfolio by becoming the Asia-Pacific distributor for the Cora Cat 48 produced by Thailand’s PMG Shipyard, a 20,800sqm seafront facility in Rayong owned by Swiss Philippe Guenat.
Adapted from the original Heliotrope 48, the Cora Cat 48 comprises a host of upgrades including a full interior and exterior redesign, new deck moulds and a suite of features.
Guenat and naval architect Dr Albert Nazarov designed the Cora Cat 48, which has a range of 1,500nm, a fast displacement hull, huge flybridge, generous cabins and a spacious galley. Advanced vacuum-infusion construction reduces the weight of the hull, which is strengthened by an extra layer of 5mm SORIC for chock and impact-resistant protection.
Multihull Solutions has ordered the first Cora Cat 48 to be on display at next year’s Australian boat shows, while the first Australian order was taken following this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in late May.
The Asia-Pacific multihull dealer will stage the world premiere of the ILIAD 62 at this year’s Sydney International Boat Show from July 28-August 1, where it will also exhibit an ILIAD 50, Fountaine Pajot Isla 40 sailing catamaran and Fountaine Pajot MY5 power catamaran.
