Six Jeanneau sailing yachts are among about 120 entries for the 77th edition of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, which is organised by the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) and starts in Sydney Harbour on December 26.
The five Jeanneau Sun Fast 3300 sailing yachts and a Sun Fast 3600 are competing in the 21-strong short-handed division, which is the largest in the race.
Performance Boating Sales, Jeanneau’s regional dealer based in New South Wales, will compete on Sun Fast Racing. Captain Lee Condell, Director of Performance Boating Sales, and Lincoln Dews will co-skipper the Sun Fast 3300, which recently won line honours in the two-handed division and was second on handicap in the Tollgate Islands Race by CYCA.
The full fleet includes three 100ft super maxis who have previously won line honours and last year’s Rolex Fastnet Race winner, which has been shipped out from the UK.
