Camper & Nicholsons has announced the sale of the 43m Feadship Eclipse, which will arrive in Hong Kong in early 2022. Carmen Lau, Camper & Nicholsons’ Senior Advisor, represented the buyer and Senior Broker Alex Lees-Buckley the seller, marking his fifth time selling the 141ft custom build, starting with its original launch in 1993.
Lau was entrusted by the buyer, who was unable to see the six-cabin yacht himself due to Covid-related travel restrictions.
“This was a unique experience,” Lau says. “It was an honour to have been trusted by him to conduct the inspection and to complete the purchase on his behalf. And to be able to complete this deal in-house with Alex was the cherry on top. We are looking forward to welcoming Eclipse in Asia.”
Built at the DeVries shipyard in the Netherlands, Eclipse features an exterior by Dutch design studio De Voogt and an interior by British designer Terence Disdale. Camper & Nicholsons has described her as “presented in turnkey condition” and “one of the most desirable and proven oceangoing Feadships of her type and age”.
Eclipse has a main-deck saloon with a bar and formal dining area, a bridge deck with a similarly large lounge, alfresco dining aft and outdoor sunbathing area in the bow, and a large sundeck with a Jacuzzi. Six en-suite cabins comprise a main-deck master and an adjacent single with a Pullman bed, plus two doubles and two twins in the lower deck.
Lees-Buckley, who first sold Eclipse almost three decades ago, said: “I am delighted to have handled the sale of this exceptional Feadship once again. Having sold her new, this is the fifth time that I have handled her sale. We are all delighted to see her remaining among the Camper & Nicholsons fleet as she sets off to Asia.”
