YYachts is planning to display a 22m-long Y7 sailing yacht at both the Palma International Boat Show in Mallorca from April 28-May 1 as well as at the Hamburg Ancora Yacht Festival from May 20-22.
The Palma event is among the year’s first major boat show in the Mediterranean and attracts over 200 exhibitors to the Moll Vell marina, just below Palma’s cathedral. According to YYachts, the Y7 on show was commissioned “by one of the world’s most renowned designers and has some very special features … she shows a modern maritime interior and a layout designed for long family cruises”.
Dirk Zademack, Managing Partner at YYachts, said: “The show in Palma is a homecoming for us as we have a service branch and our design and development office here. There is always a lot of interest in YYachts at the show.”
Less than three weeks after the Palma Show, YYachts will exhibit for the first time at a trade fair on the Baltic coast. A Y7 will be the largest sailing yacht at the Hamburg Ancora Yachtfestival, an in-water show in Neustadt-Holstein with around 160 exhibits. The Y7 on show can be compared to the model’s first hull, Bella, while her interior was developed by Copenhagen-based Norm Architects.
“By participating in the Hamburg Ancora Yachtfestival, we can present a freshly delivered model on our doorstep to our Scandinavian and, of course, North German prospective customers,” Zademack said.
