Yacht Style has released its 15th anniversary issue, and a bumper edition it is, too. The personal wishes from international shipyards and global brokerage houses are compiled in a special feature.
This issue also honours Riva as it celebrates its 180th anniversary. David Beckham plays a starring role both at the gala dinner in Venice and in the short film, Riva The Persuaders!, three minutes of high-energy, celeb-fuelled fun with fast cars and yachts on the Côte d’Azur.
This is a summer issue but also looks ahead to the year’s biggest shows for Asia’s yacht lovers – the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 6-11) and Monaco Yacht Show (September 28-October 1).
Shows includes previews of Cannes and Monaco, the former focusing on world premieres, the latter focusing on its evolving format, while Australia’s Sydney and Sanctuary Cove shows are also profiled.
Reviews open with Lürssen’s incredible 115m Ahpo ahead of its premiere at Monaco, while Tecnomar’s curvaceous Evo 120 and Gulf Craft’s Majesty 120 – which will be at Cannes – show very different options available around 120ft.
There’s a profile CL Yachts’ distinctive flagship CLX96 following its unveiling in Hong Kong, well ahead of its world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (October 26-30).
Four Reviews focus on models debuting at Cannes. Fairline’s upgraded Squadron 68 will show in Vieux Port, while Sunreef’s groundbreaking 80 Eco, the Jeanneau Yachts 65 and the electric version of Fountaine Pajot’s Aura 51 will be among the new stars at Port Canto.
Sanlorenzo’s SD118 will again exhibit at Cannes a year after it made its debut at the same event, with Asia representative Simpson Marine securing two sales of the semi-displacement superyacht.
The SD118 is also among highlights of our special feature on sub-50m superyachts selling into Asia, which includes leading models from many of Europe’s luxury yacht builders that have a strong presence in and commitment to this region.
Profile outlines the remarkable long-term achievements of Boat Lagoon Yachting, which has represented Princess in Southeast Asia since 1994. It’s also a dealer for Jeanneau and Sacs, represents Burgess in Thailand, while its strong brokerage, charter and service divisions make it one of Asia’s most complete yachting companies.
In Leader, Yann Masselot – now in his 30th year with Groupe Beneteau – talks about Beneteau’s remarkable developments in both motorboats and sailing yachts. Beneteau’s flagship Grand Trawler 62 recently had its Asia premiere in Hong Kong following a global debut at Cannes last year, while the brand’s new flagship sailing boat, the Oceanis Yacht 60, will be unveiled at Cannes this September. Yacht Style will again have a booth at Cannes, so if you do attend, please stop by for a chat.
