Yacht Sourcing and NextWave have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on sales of new and pre-owned yachts across their respective markets of Indonesia and Hong Kong.
Boum Senous, co-founder and CEO of Yacht Sourcing, said: “This is a celebration of two companies with young, dynamic and knowledgeable people at the helm.
“We’re joining forces to raise the interest in the yachting industry and yacht-based tourism, as Indonesia is Asia’s biggest archipelago with beautiful maritime traditions, which we highlight in our charter phinisis.”
Founded in 2016, Yacht Sourcing is a leader in phinisi construction with luxurious builds including the 55m Prana, the 47m The Maj Oceanic and the 50m Vela. The company is also the exclusive representative of Fountaine Pajot sailing and power catamarans and Dufour sailing monohulls in Indonesia.
NextWave Yachting was formed by a group of friends in 2012 and is starting to expand beyond its home market of Hong Kong.
The company has represented Sunseeker in Hong Kong since last year, while its new-build portfolio also includes Sealine, Bavaria, Fjord, Chris-Craft, Vanquish and Heyday wake boats. It also has strong brokerage, charter, yacht-management, watersports/toys and crew divisions.
Lee David Oldroyd, COO and General Manager of NextWave and Sunseeker Hong Kong, said: “Each year, more and more people choose us because of our quality international expertise, honest advice and transparent value for money.
“We’re proud to be expanding across Southeast Asia with some exciting developments including working with companies such as Yacht Sourcing in Indonesia.”
