NextWave Yachting is organising private viewings of the first Sunseeker Manhattan 68 Pacific, which recently arrived in Hong Kong and is berthed at Aberdeen Marina Club. The yacht is the first hull of the Manhattan flagship to feature the new Pacific layout, developed by Sunseeker in collaboration with NextWave to offer an increased amount of seating in the saloon plus an expanded master suite.
“We’re delighted our new Sunseeker Manhattan 68 Pacific has arrived in Hong Kong,” said Jeffrey Chan, Sales Director of NextWave Yachting.
“The Pacific edition is brand-new for the Asia market and has a new design with a strong focus on generous, usable sociable spaces, like the larger saloon forward of the aft galley and dining table. The interiors boast exquisite attention to detail with a new palate of upholstery that provides a cool, crisp and contemporary look.”
The saloon on the Pacific edition features two facing C-shaped sofas and a rise-and-fall TV, instead of the Manhattan 68’s usual layout, which features a starboard sofa facing a fixed TV to port by the private stairs to the master suite. On the Pacific version, access to all three guest cabins on the lower deck is via the forward staircase.
The Manhattan 68’s standard lower-deck layout includes four guest cabins, but the Pacific edition replaces the port twin cabin with a private lounge that leads to the full-beam master suite midships. The private lounge features a dinette by a hull window, opposite an expansive sideboard with stowage, while the bedroom has a stylish chaise longue to port.
The rest of the yacht is the same as the Manhattan 68, such as the aft dining area with L-shaped seating and a table that can fold away when not in use.
As well as outdoor social areas in the aft cockpit, foredeck and flybridge, the Manhattan 68 is notable for its beach club area where the swim platform has access to a large ‘toy cupboard’ for storing water toys along with a built-in storage and charging locker for Seabobs.
“The Manhattan 68 has a beach club like no other yacht of this size,” Chan said. “Overall, it’s a very practical yacht regarding space and layout, ideal for people who really enjoy the boating and ocean lifestyle.”
NextWave was appointed as Sunseeker’s dealer for Hong Kong in early 2021 and opened a Sunseeker Showcase at The Pulse shopping plaza in Repulse Bay late last year.
