Simpson Marine has become a Corporate Patron of Hong Kong Ballet and a member of the prestigious Club Hong Kong Ballet. Since its inception in 1979, Hong Kong Ballet has evolved into a vibrant performing arts organisation with a dynamic repertoire, forward-thinking community engagement initiatives, and an emphasis on excellence.
With nearly 50 dancers from all over the globe, Hong Kong Ballet is internationally recognised as a world-class institution and Asia’s premier ballet company, and has won recognition internationally for creativity, talent and artistry.
It has been headed since 2017 by Artistic Director Septime Webre, a renowned ballet director, choreographer, educator and advocate. In the US, he spent six years as Artistic Director of the Princeton-based American Repertory Ballet before spending 17 years as Artistic Director of The Washington Ballet.
Simpson Marine was founded in in Hong Kong in 1984 and its support of Hong Kong Ballet is part of the yachting company’s increased engagement with local communities and arts.
