Riviera staged the world premiere of its 465 SUV at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, where the Australian builder had a 12-model showcase on H arm. Designed in collaboration with 4D Designs, the 465 SUV has twin 600hp Volvo Penta D8-IPS800 engines and joins an SUV line-up including the 395, 445, 505, 545, 575 and 645.
The sub-50ft yacht offers an aft water-sports cockpit, covered alfresco deck that expands the interior saloon, three double cabins, two bathrooms and multiple entertaining spaces.
Twin transom doors fold out to the transom to allow the boarding platform to become part of the cockpit, creating one large watersports or entertaining platform. The dual-purpose water-sports and entertainer’s cockpit includes a wet bar with electric barbecue, sink with hot and cold water and storage. A top-loading freezer and ice-maker is in a unit to starboard.
Steps up lead to the alfresco deck, which has sofas on either side and electric sliding sunroofs overhead. A folding timber dining table with drink holders is in front of the port sofa and an insulated icebox is underneath the seating, while the starboard sofa can quickly be converted to a day bed. A large awning window and central sliding glass door connect this space with the galley.
Walk-around decks on either side lead to the foredeck that has twin sun pads with adjustable headrests. Deck hatches provide light and air for the bathrooms and master stateroom below.
Stepping through the sliding glass door from the alfresco deck, the saloon has wide opening side windows and a curved windscreen. The U-shaped galley is aft to starboard and includes a dual element electric cooktop, combination microwave oven including grill and a bench-top with a stainless-steel sink and mixer tap. Opposite is a dual-door 150-litre refrigerator and 50-litre freezer.
Forward on the port side, a large folding timber dining table is surrounded by a luxurious C-shaped sofa that will seat up to six. Entertainment is offered via an electric-lift 43-inch TV built into the dash forward on the port side.
Immediately forward of the galley, the helm includes twin leather sports seats facing a dash equipped with a tilt-adjustable sports wheel, engine controls including a joystick, two 12-inch Garmin Glass Cockpit multi-function displays and a C-zone digital switching control panel.
The lower deck includes three guest cabins and a washer-dryer under the stairwell and accessed from the starboard cabin.
The master forward offers a queen double bed and a full-height cedar-lined hanging locker to port. Hull windows on either side welcome natural light and the deck hatch provides both light and fresh air when at anchor or mooring. The en-suite bathroom, aft to starboard, includes a separate shower stall, vanity, Vacuflush toilet, a full-length window and a deck hatch.
Midships, a port double – with en-suite access to the second bathroom – and twin starboard have large hull windows with opening portholes.
Riviera offers two-year express and seven-year structural limited warranties on all new models, while all Volvo Penta systems are covered by a five-year limited warranty.
