Prestige has unveiled the details and images of its upcoming X60, which will debut at the Miami International Boat Show from February 16-20, 2022. Only the second model in the French builder’s X-Line, the X60 is the smaller sister of the X70 (Review, Issue 57), whose pioneering design included no side decks on the main deck. The X60 is also by Garroni Design and features just one full-length side deck, to port.
Erik Stromberg, Director of Prestige Product Marketing, said: “We created this concept that is inspired by new ways of living: with more space, a closer connection to nature, and a life centred around sharing with family and friends.”
Like the X70, the X60 features a much longer cockpit that its competitors, with the builder saying the space is 40 per cent larger than on a classic 60-footer. The infinity cockpit features an island sun lounger with adjustable backrests while a dining table is an additional option.
The builder also describes the flybridge as 30 per cent larger than on a traditional 60-footer. The flybridge features L-shaped seating starboard of the twin-seat helm station, an outdoor galley and central dining table, while the aft area is available with either sun beds, an island sun lounger or facing sofas.
The foredeck has facing sunbathing areas with adjustable backrests that can convert them into sofas, while the beach club has a drop-down sofa, shower and independent sound system.
The saloon has sliding doors aft and to port, facing sofas and a dining table, while forward is a large open galley, the helm to starboard and a corner sofa to port. The lower deck features a full-beam master cabin midships with its own private stairways from the aft end of the saloon, a VIP en-suite cabin in the bow and a twin to port with the option of an en-suite bathroom.
Interior decoration is by Valentina Militerno, whose creative interior design is featured in luxury villas and who also worked on the X70. Furnishings and materials have been selected from prestigious brands and include Duvivier sofas, Roda exterior furniture, Foglizzio leather and Bowers & Wilkins audio systems.
Powered by two Cummins 600hp engines (shaft propulsion or ZEUS pod propulsion), the X60 is expected to have a cruising speed of 20-21 knots. The X60 is equipped with Ship Control and options include a Seakeeper gyrostabiliser.
