Simpson Marine has announced the sale of a new Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 60 into Taiwan, with the purchase following soon after the global announcement of the model. The 60ft cruiser is scheduled to debut at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival from September 6-11.
Oceanis Yacht 60 will be another new Beneteau sailing model for Taiwan, which received Asia’s first Figaro 3 and First Yacht 53 in late 2018 and mid-2020 respectively, while an Oceanis Yacht 54 was delivered late last year.
“The sale of the Oceanis Yacht 60 to Taiwan is a testament to the huge popularity of the Oceanis line and its quality construction and stylish design, as well as the active sailing scene in Taiwan and the affinity of local sailors to Beneteau brand,” Simpson Marine stated.
The Oceanis Yacht 60 is designed by Italians Roberto Biscontini and Lorenzo Argento, who also collaborated on the First Yacht 53 and Oceanis Yacht 54.
Featuring a gentle reverse sheer, the elegant 18m hull profile of the Oceanis Yacht 60 echoes that of its 54ft sister, also featuring a standard mainsheet arch, low freeboard and low-profile coachroof.
