The cockpit and flybridge both offer alfresco dining

Leopard Catamarans is developing a 46PC that extends a new generation of powercats led by the flagship 53PC, which premiered in early 2020. Built by South African builder Robertson & Caine and scheduled to be released in 2022, the upcoming 46PC has an overall length of 46ft 4in and a beam of 24ft 1in.

Like the 53PC, styling is a breakaway from design language on previous Leopards and features a “more powerboat-orientated style” with simple, clean lines. The glazing on the side of each hull is long and rectangular to allow different opening portlight configurations. The vertical coachroof windows are flat, toughened glass for improved optical clarity, while Leopard again includes a forward cockpit door.

The spacious flybridge, protected by a composite-moulded hardtop, has a bench-seat helm station and wet bar to starboard, while port side is features one long, connected social area comprising a large sunpad aft, a dining area with facing sofas, and another sofa forward. The aft cockpit also offers alfresco dining.

The interior on the main deck features an aft galley and a forward saloon with facing sofas. Fresh features include new soft furnishing for the settees, a matt-beige finish on the galley locker doors and some countertops in place of gloss white, an integrated splashback around the galley worktop, and more indirect lighting.

The aft galley includes a large serving/prep area to starboard

A new ‘galley serving area’ to starboard contains storage lockers for cutlery, crockery and food, an incorporated drinks locker, mounting space for optional undercounter icemaker or wine cooler, and a large counter for preparation.

The 46 Powercat is available in a three or four-cabin layout. In the three en-suite cabin layout, the owner’s suite is to port and has an aft bed, large walk-in closet, desk, double vanity plus forward bathroom.

The saloon can feature a coffee table or dining table

In the four-cabin, four-bathroom layout, the VIP guest cabins are forward and offer window-facing island berths, while the aft cabins have forward-facing beds.

“Accommodation has been enhanced to make you feel at-home with new soft furnishings, very comfortable beds and great use of space,” Leopard stated.

The engine room, accessed via a large deck hatch with step ladder, has twin 250hp Yanmar engines fitted as standard, while upgrades comprise 320hp and 370hp versions. All Leopards are NMMA and CE certified.
