Simpson Marine launched the first Fairline Squadron 50 in Hong Kong with a series of four afternoon cruises for media and KOIs, who were treated to champagne and high tea from The Peninsula while sampling the glamorous life in the ‘Riviera of the Orient’.
The series of events took guests from Victoria Harbour to Repulse Bay and celebrated Simpson Marine’s appointment as The Peninsula Hong Kong’s exclusive yachting partner with a collaboration that includes guest yacht charters, bespoke on-board catering and event collaborations.
Simpson Marine has been Fairline’s dealer in Hong Kong and the Philippines since 2018, and in Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar since the start of 2020.
Richard Allen, Simpson Marine’s Group General Manager, said: “Fairline is one of the most prestigious motor yacht brands in the world, with a strong British heritage, highly reputed craftsmanship and magnificent interiors.
“The yachts are renowned for their understated elegance, contemporary designs, power, performance and comfort, which is precisely what our customers want from their yachts today.”
The Squadron 50 was premiered at the 2019 Southampton International Boat Show. The unit in Hong Kong is a galley-down, two-cabin version finished in high walnut joinery, while other materials include Carrara white marble, Italian leather and satin-bronze accents.
The new exterior styling across Fairline’s 50ft range features anthracite vinyl-wrapped hardtops, with colour options of burnt orange, vivid red or electric-blue upholstery and complementing helm seats.
The 50ft range comes with a choice of twin Volvo IPS 600, 650 or 700 engine options, the latter providing a top speed over 34 knots, while user-friendly joystick controls offer easy manoeuvrability.
The brand’s flagship Squadron 68 and Squadron 49 are also available in Hong Kong, while a Squadron 53 is scheduled to arrive soon. Fairline’s other established range is the Targa line, while the brand introduced the F//Line 33 last year, with a unit now available in Singapore.
