Groupe Beneteau Asia-Pacific and dealer Simpson Marine hosted the two-day Boating Rendez-Vous in Hong Kong on Wednesday and Thursday (November 11 and 12). The event showcased seven Beneteau and Lagoon models at Aberdeen Boat Club’s Middle Island site, from 10am-5pm each day.
The models comprised Oceanis 35.1 and 46.1 sailing yachts and Antares 7 and 8 motorboats from Beneteau, along with Lagoon 42, 46 and 50 sailing catamarans. The Lagoon 46, which was displayed by the clubhouse, is the successor to the best-selling 450 and was only premiered in 2019.
Loik Morgant, Groupe Beneteau’s Asia Pacific Customer Service Manager, hosted a ‘Take the helm’ on-board workshop demonstrating how to manoeuvre a Lagoon catamaran.
The event marked Asia-Pacific’s second Boating Rendez-Vous organised by Groupe Beneteau in two months. The first was held in Sydney in October with three local dealers and included five Asia-Pacific premieres and an Australian debut.
The next editions of the Boating Rendez-Vous will be held in Auckland (New Zealand) in February and in Yokohama (Japan) in May.
