Yacht sales worldwide were up 24 per cent on the average for the last 14 years, as of late June, according to Fraser in its latest contribution to YACHT STYLE in Issue 72 (click for PDF of full magazine).
The second quarter of 2023 revealed a rebound from the slowdown witnessed in the first quarter and included some of the largest yacht sales of the year so far, with sales such as the 75m Feadship Arrow by Fraser closing in just 10 weeks. Indeed, the 60-70m size sector was about 50 per cent up on 2022.
“With the headline Monaco Yacht Show coming up, work is also wrapping up on several new-build and extensive refit deliveries that will be presented to the market in September. Watch this space, as they say,” said Mark Duncan, Fraser’s Director of Marketing & Business Development.
“The entry level to luxury yachting is still trending down compared to 2022, yet demand for charter remains strong and at the time of writing was seeing a very late and above-average level of bookings ahead of the summer season.”
