CL Yachts is shipping its new flagship CLX96 to the United States, where the yacht’s schedule includes its world premiere in October. The ‘Sea Activity Vessel’ (SAV) was loaded onto a transport vessel and is making the long trek across the Pacific Ocean and through the Panama Canal, with Florida as its destination.
Once CLX96 makes landfall in the ‘Sunshine State’, she will undergo sea trials with a select group of potential owners this summer before the yacht is prepared for her world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from October 26-30.
CLX96 features rugged, eye-catching lines penned by Milan-based designer Jozeph Forakis and takes some design cues from workboats, with a two-level deckhouse and a reverse windshield designed to clear rough water quicker than a traditionally raked windshield and keep the interior cool by reducing sun-facing glass. The yacht offers a long range and can reach 24-25 knots at full load.
