Sunseeker 100 Yacht

Sunseeker’s 100 Yacht is the biggest new motor yacht to emerge from the UK this year and the star of the Poole builder’s display at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival. The first hull was only delivered in the summer, yet the yard revealed at least 15 sales before its world premiere. Powered by twin MTU 12V 2000 M96X or 16V 2000 M96L engines, the 100 Yacht can reach up to 29 knots.

Notable features include a flybridge with complete walk-around access from bow to stern, while the forward area has two separate seating arrangements and cinema-screen capability. The full-beam master suite forward on the main deck is another standout zone, with floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides and a signature glass atrium door forward that leads up to a private bow terrace.

Sunseeker Predator 65

Sunseeker is also showing the new Predator 65, which had its world premiere at this year’s Palm Beach International Boat Show. The 65-footer offers Volvo Penta IPS 1200 or 1350 engines, hitting 35 knots with the latter, and expands a Predator series that ranges from the 55 EVO™ to the 74XPS.

Princess V50

Princess is staging the world premiere of the Open version of its new V50, a model that had its boat show premiere at Palm Beach. The V50 has a new deep-V hull and an extended canopy over the cockpit, as well as newly refined interior fixtures and fittings, as seen on the V55. The V50’s standard ‘deck saloon’ and Open versions have completely different saloon and cockpit layouts.

CGI of Fairline Phantom 65

Fairline is hosting the world premieres of the Phantom 65 and the newly upgraded flagship Squadron 68 at Cannes. The Phantom 65 is the Oundle builder’s first sportbridge yacht and is based on the Targa 65, featuring sleek lines, large hull windows and a glazed sunroof forward of the sportbridge. Twin Cat C18-1150 engines and optional V12 C32-1622s deliver 31 and 35 knots respectively.

Fairline Squadron 68

The upgraded Squadron 68 features a subtly revised exterior, fresh interior layout and design, and a sleek new hardtop with fabric sliding sunroof and integrated electric sunshade aft. The main deck has a new galley design that increases workspace and fridge/freezer capacity, and incorporates a sociable bar that extends into the cockpit. Options include a tri-fold patio door and lower-helm side door.

Gulf Craft Majesty 120

Gulf Craft is staging the European debut of the Majesty 120, which had its world premiere at the Dubai International Boat Show in March and is reviewed in Issue 66 , while the UAE builder is also displaying its popular Majesty 100 for a second successive year.

CGI of Galeon 440 Fly

Poland’s Galeon is staging the world premieres of the 375 GTO and 440 Fly. The 375 GTO builds on the 325 GTO that launched in early 2021 and spearheaded the new Grand Touring Outboard series, while the 440 Fly is the latest model to utilise the shipyard’s iconic drop-down wings made popular on its 500 Fly.

Prestige M48

Among Groupe Beneteau brands, Prestige’s M48 is among the most anticipated world premieres at Cannes, as one of the first powercats by a leading monohull builder, albeit one with Lagoon as a sister company. Designed by long-time Prestige designer Garroni Design of Italy with French naval architect Philippe Briand, the 14.8m yacht is tall and thin, with just a 6m beam, while options include a full-beam master suite forward.

Prestige X60

Prestige is also showing the X60, which debuted at this year’s Miami International Boat Show. Like the flagship X70, the X60 also has a swim platform with drop-down sofa, a clear balustrade and long covered cockpit, although unlike its widebody big sister, it does have one side deck, to port. Other new features include a sliding door on the port side of the saloon.

Jeanneau DB/43

Jeanneau’s DB/43 is an exciting newcomer as the brand enters the premium dayboat market with its flagship motorboat, reuniting Garroni and American naval architect Michael Peters, who collaborated on current Leader and NC models. Dropdown sides expand the width to 18ft 6in, the flexible aft sofa can fold down to become a sunpad, while the two cabins below include an aft master with a double and a sofa or single bed to starboard.

Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Fly

Jeanneau’s premieres also include the Cap Camarat 10.5 CC and Merry Fisher 1295 Fly, which is 7ft longer than the series’ former flagship, the Merry Fisher 1095. The 1295 Fly features three 300hp Yamaha outboard engines, while eye-catching features include a drop-down platform to starboard and three integrated sun loungers on the foredeck.

Beneteau Swift Trawler 48

Beneteau’s highlights among its 16-boat line-up at Cannes include the new Swift Trawler 48, which debuted at Miami. The model by Andreani Design succeeds the 47 as the flagship of the Swift Trawler range of seaworthy passage makers. A MICAD-designed hull helps provide a 600nm-plus range at nine knots with twin Cummins engines, with the 425hp options giving a top speed of 25 knots.

Leopard 46 Powercat

Leopard’s newest model on display at Cannes is the 46 Powercat (Review, Issue 65), which debuted at Miami and is among the brand’s full fleet of power and sailing models at Cannes. Following the 53 launched in 2020, the 46 is the second of a new three-model powercat line-up and its features include the brand’s signature large flybridge and a door to the foredeck.
