Azimut has released its follow-up to the Verve 42, which has already received over 30 orders and now has a waiting list of about two years. The Verve 42 is following in the footsteps of the successful Verve 47 launched in 2020 and which has sold over 65 units to date.
With an overall length of 42ft 4in and an almost 13ft beam, the Verve 42 has triple Mercury Racing outboard engines of 400hp and 450hp, for a top speed of 45 knots and a cruising speed of 33 knots plus a range of 200nm at cruising speed.
Designed primarily for the US market, the Verve series is based around the concept of a fast cabin cruiser combining the speed and functionality of centre console fishing boats with Azimut’s Italian design style.
Like the Verve 47, the Verve 42 features a hull by Michael Peters design and exterior and interior design by Francesco Struglia. The Stepped ‘V’ Ventilated Tunnel (SVVT) hull designed by Peters reduces water resistance by ensuring smooth, clean entry.
The boat can accommodate up to 12 day guests. The multi-functional, flexible living areas include a TV, mini-galley and foldaway table, a lounging area fitted with cushions, and a striking aft side bulwark that folds out in seconds to form a swimming platform.
Below deck, the comfortable double cabin with bathroom and a dining area that converts into a double bed means four guests can stay overnight. Azimut is represented in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Guangdong and Singapore by Marine Italia.
