Absolute Yachts has confirmed that it will stage the world premiere of its 48 Coupé at the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 7-12).
Complimenting the Italian yard’s established Fly and Navetta lines, the 48 is the first model in a new Coupé range designed to be sporty and highly versatile, with special features including solar power, opening saloon windows, a clean ‘terrace’ cockpit’ and a master suite in the bow.
The roof of the superstructure is covered in solar panels including transparent central ones to let in natural light without overheating the room. The solar system offers a convenient, clean source of energy, particularly useful for use at anchor.
The wide ‘terrace’ cockpit offers a clean deck for modular furniture to be arranged as the owner wishes. New glazed balustrades aft and opening side gunwales offer a direct view of the sea, even from the saloon and the helm station.
Inside, the saloon is notable for its large side windows, which can be electrically opened to let in sea breeze for natural air circulation. The windows combine with the full-width windshield and aft doors to offer a truly panoramic view.
The lower deck offers three guest cabins with high including a master suite in the bow where the double bed is set at an angle to benefit from the light coming through both hull windows.
Absolute’s dealers in Asia include Hong Kong-based Absolute Marine, founded by Thomas Woo.
