YACHT STYLE has released Issue 65, the annual ‘Multihulls Issue’ and the third edition of 2022. The cover features hull one of the 100 Sunreef Power, which is among seven Reviews of new models.
The first section of our multihulls cover story focuses on powercat models, which continue to increase both in variety and size, while the market’s growing popularity mean monohull builders are now getting in on the action.
The sailing chapter focuses on the new Fountaine Pajot Aura 51 and Lagoon 51, which are spearheading a move by the global catamaran giants into a new era of sustainability, while Sunreef has launched the first two models in its ‘solar-skinned’ Eco range.
There are also chapters on Multihull Solutions’ offerings and developments, and an overview of other exciting catamaran builds and designs.
As well as the 100 Sunreef Power, other catamarans covered in the Review section include the Leopard 46 Powercat. After a world premiere at Miami in February and a European premiere at the International Multihull Show in late April, the Leopard 46 Powercat will soon be in Asia, with a unit for Hong Kong to be followed by two hulls for Southeast Asia.
The Bali 4.4 is another multihull review from this super-active French shipyard. Designed by Catana Group boss Olivier Poncin with an interior by Lasta Design Studio, the new 4.4 fills out the French builder’s modern series of sailing catamarans.
Sunseeker’s new 65 Sport Yacht is among motor yacht Reviews and one of the British builder’s most exciting launches of the last couple of years. It can appear like most yachts in its category, at least until you climb into the SkyHelm™ racing seats.
Beneteau’s new Gran Turismo 45 premiered at Cannes last year and a unit is already in Asia through Simpson Marine. Sleek, sporty and seriously versatile, Beneteau’s new express cruiser flagship offering a range of flexible features designed to improve life at anchor.
The powerful, two-cabin Nimbus T11 from Sweden is another recent arrival in Hong Kong, through regional dealer Asiamarine, and is most notable for its remarkably flexible sunbathing and seating areas.
Reviews also include the Dufour 61, one of the most significant new production sailing yachts. The French builder’s new flagship instils confidence and won Best Large Monohull 50ft and Above category in this year’s SAIL Best Boats awards.
The first Princess X95 for Southeast Asia has been delivered to her owner. Vrit Yongsakul of dealer Boat Lagoon Yachting talks about the new arrival in Phuket and reveals more X Class units are on their way.
