Asiamarine started representing Bali in 2020

Asiamarine has appointed Alexandre Tricot and Phil Benson as Yacht Broker and Aftersales Manager respectively in Hong Kong, while Raphael Sachs has joined as a Yacht Broker in Thailand as the regional dealer continues to strengthen its staff across the region. Asiamarine’s new yacht sales portfolio includes Galeon, Bali, Tige, Nimbus and Wellcraft.

Tricot will manage the dealer’s representation of Bali Catamarans and brings strong experience in sailing and multihulls. The son of industry veteran Cyrille Tricot, a former Operations Director at The Moorings and Commercial Director of Catana (Bali’s parent company) and Privilège Catamarans, he served apprenticeships at Catana Group then Piriou Group in France, securing a master’s degree in naval architecture.

The Frenchman then worked in New Zealand and Australia, where he worked as a yard hand then a yacht broker. He then founded a business in Australia specialising in yacht management for private owners and yacht brokers.

Alexandre Tricot heads Bali sales in Hong Kong

Eric Noyel, founder and CEO of Asiamarine, said: “Alexandre brings a great amount of knowledge in sailing catamarans and multihulls. We deliver a lot of Bali catamarans to people without a lot of sailing experience, so it’s very useful to have Alexandre who can teach them how to use the boat and maintain it.”

Sachs, who worked in Hong Kong before moving to Thailand, represents both Asiamarine and Fraser, the international brokerage that the dealer has represented in Hong Kong and Thailand since early 2018. The Frenchman has spent over 20 years in Asia as an entrepreneur and senior executive in automobiles, consumer goods, business psychology and F&B.

Asiamarine’s new sales staff also include Candy Li, who joined the Hong Kong office as a Yacht Broker late last year. Brit Harvey Brewin has been working as a Yacht Broker in Hong Kong ahead of a move to Asiamarine’s new Singapore office, which opened in ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove in mid-2021 and is headed by Winnie Ng and Suhaimi Badri.

Meanwhile, Benson is among Asiamarine’s new hires this year and brings over three decades of experience to his role as Aftersales Manager, joining from British builder Fairline. After working in the UK for over two decades, the Brit spent six years in Thailand, first as Volvo Penta’s Technical Engineer then Simpson Marine’s Aftersales Service Manager in Phuket.

Benson will coordinate Asiamarine’s aftersales business in Hong Kong, which was outsourced last year to Global Yacht Services headed by Bryan Tse.
