Absolute’s new-look 50 Fly follows the debut of its Navetta 64

Absolute has released images of the Generation 2021 version of its 50 Fly, whose new features include improved views due to the reduction of the horizontal ‘swords’ on the main-deck glazing and removal of the vertical pillars on the cabin windows.

Other changes include lowered gunwales along the side decks, an upgraded hardtop with openable hatch, a modern entertainment system and many interior upgrades.

The flybridge has a dining table for eight, full wet bar and full-beam sunbathing area

The Italian shipyard describes the flybridge as being among the largest in the 50ft range and it includes an aft C-shaped sofa and a dining table for up to eight people.

To starboard is a full galley with fridge, sink, telescopic tap and optional barbecue and icemaker, as well as a twin-seat helm station. To port is a forward-facing corner sofa connected to a full-beam sunbathing area forward.

Aft of the cockpit, the 50 Fly has a hydraulic swim platform

The foredeck is another outdoor area and features a sofa and a triple sunpad, while the aft cockpit has an aft-facing sunpad connected to a sofa and dining table, plus a new optional privacy sunshade that can retract into the ceiling.

Inside, the open L-shaped galley to port is well equipped and can be visually separated from the forward saloon by an electric sliding glass screen.

The aft galley leads to a raised saloon with facing sofas

The saloon is up a step and features a large C-shaped sofa and a table to port, while to starboard is a two-seat sofa and the helm station, which benefits from a new side door.

The furniture has been redesigned to offer new stowage spaces and comfortable support surfaces, while new materials include a combination of glossy dark oak and matt light oak, plus a sand oak floor with saw-cut effect for greater durability.

The full-beam master cabin midships has larger windows than the previous version

On the lower deck, the full-beam master cabin midships benefits from clear views through pillarless windows either side and features roomy cabinets, many stowage spaces and an ensuite bathroom accessed through a new sliding door.

The full-beam forward VIP cabin also has new sliding-door access to a bathroom that also serves as the day head and bathroom for the twin guest cabin to starboard, which has a walk-in closet. There’s also a crew cabin aft that can also be used for an extra guest.

Founded in 2002 and based in Piacenza, Absolute designs and builds luxury yachts from 47-73ft in Navetta, Flybridge and Coupé ranges. Its dealers in Asia include Hong Kong-based Absolute Marine.
