Azimut-Benetti has announced over €150 million (about US$180 million) in total sales in the Asia-Pacific over the past 12 months, marking a 10 per cent rise in regional orders from the previous season “despite the complexities caused by the global pandemic”, the Group said.
This result takes account of Asia-Pacific’s most important markets including Hong Kong, Singapore, continental China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, and has been driven by orders for yachts over 24m. The Group has topped the Global Order Book for 24m-plus builds for 19 years in succession.
Azimut has sold and delivered eight yachts in the brand’s flagship Grande Collection – four 32 Metri, two 27 Metri and two 25 Metri – to the Asia-Pacific over the past year. Furthermore, five more units from the brand’s flagship range will be delivered in the next six months including a 35 Metri to Hong Kong scheduled to arrive in December, sold by Azimut Yachts Hong Kong.
Azimut Yachts Hong Kong is a division of Marine Italia, the brand’s exclusive distributor in Hong Kong, Macau, southern China, Taiwan and Singapore. Other dealers contributing significantly to sales include new Australian dealer D’Albora, which has established a considerable presence in the space of a year and opened new markets on the country’s west coast.
Benetti only recently debuted its first Oasis 40M but has already sold a remarkable 12 units including four to the Asia-Pacific – two in Australia, one in China and one in Hong Kong. A unit of the B.Yond 37M ‘luxury explorer’, which will only debut in late 2021, has also been sold to the region.
