Gulf Craft hosted the US premiere of the Majesty 120 at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from October 26-30, where Rocket One exhibited at the Face Dock in Bahia Mar Marina. The 120, whose features include an energy-saving heat-recovery smart system, had its world premiere at the Dubai International Boat Show in March and European debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September, also appearing at the Monaco Yacht Show later that month.

Rocket One at the Fort Lauderdale show

There have been multiple sales of the Majesty 120 in the US, which has remained a key market for Gulf Craft since it exhibited at the Fort Lauderdale show for the first time in 2019, when it displayed the Majesty 140.

Mohammed Alshaali, co-founder and Chairman of Gulf Craft, said: “We’re bringing luxurious bespoke standards and skilled craftsmanship from the UAE to the US, an important market for us. In 2021 we saw a significant uplift in sales, which is a tribute to the unique advantages of our yachts and our position as the world’s leader in composite hull production.

The Majesty 120 at the Face Dock

“Compared to traditional steel vessels, our composite hulls are lightweight, offer competitive fuel economy and allow navigation of shallow waters such as around Florida, the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Our yachts are also built to withstand exceptional levels of heat and humidity, which are common to both the UAE and the US.”

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the UAE builder has announced the development of two new models: the Majesty 111, which will debut in 2023, and Majesty 160, the yard’s second-biggest superyacht to date. However, its flagship remains the Majesty 175, which it delivered last year.

The Majesty 120 has multiple US sales

“We are proud of our ambition to push the boundaries of possibility and the jewel in our crown is the Majesty 175,” Alshaali said. “As the world’s largest composite-built production superyacht, it has reinforced our position as an innovator in the use of composites.”

Lürssen and the Ahoy Club are co-presenting Coral Ocean at the 63rd Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (October 26-30), with the 73m superyacht fresh from a three-year refit. Designed by the late Jon Bannenberg and originally known as Coral Island, the yacht was one of the shipyard’s largest projects at the time of her launch in 1994 and is “one of the most iconic Lürssen superyachts ever built”, according to the German builder.

Coral Ocean was designed by Jon Bannenberg; © The Ahoy Club

Following a change of ownership in 2019, Coral Ocean underwent an extensive refit that was completed this year ahead of her showcase at the five-day Fort Lauderdale show. “Together with the Ahoy Club, Lürssen is pleased to present a yacht that is in such exceptionally good condition, proof that a quality yacht can retain its value even after so many years,” Lürssen stated.

At Lürssen’s stand in the Superyacht Village at Pier 66 South, the shipyard is also providing updates about innovative topics such as Fuel Cell Technology. On display will be a unique model explaining how a fuel cell works, powered by hydrogen reformed by methanol.

A year after the historic Meyer Werft shipyard launched Meyer Yachts at the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show, the brand has unveiled the 210m second spectacular yacht concept, TWO10.

Like the ONE50, currently in build, the TWO10 will feature sustainable propulsion solutions as Meyer aims to build “the greenest superyachts in the world”.

The profile of the TWO10 is kept flat, although the decks illustrate the yacht’s enormous size. Like the ONE50, the TWO10 relies on green propulsion solutions, for example with fuel cells and battery systems.

Drones can be used for passenger transport on the helipad in the bow area and charged directly on the yacht with the green electricity generated onboard. Due to the generous space available, there’s also room for a complete tennis court, which is fenced in by a fine-mesh net during play.

Other features include a beach club that extends over two decks and has an infinity pool suspended virtually above the bar.

Jan Meyer, Managing Director of Meyer Yachts, said: “Here we show once again what innovations Meyer Yachts is capable of.

“We design our concepts in such a way that we can also make them a reality in this form. This makes our yachts technology pioneers, from which many other types of ships and people will also benefit.”

Italian superyacht builder Benetti has outlined its increased production, the success of the B.Now series, the new B.Century range and the 85m Project Oro.

The post Benetti reveals 85m Project Oro among new designs appeared first on Yacht Style.

Benetti announced that it expects to launch a record 23 superyachts – almost two a month – from September 2022 through August 2023. In September, the Italian builder launched another B.Now 50M and expects to launch a B.Century 68M next August, as the new series designed by Giorgio Cassetta starts to make its mark.

Marco Valle, CEO of Azimut-Benetti Group, said: “We have invested heavily in R&D in recent years to develop new boats and the results are outstanding. The order backlog is trending upwards, with new model deliveries planned until 2027.”

Benetti B.Now 67M

The B.Now 50M had its world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show, with Sebastiano Fanizza, Benetti’s Chief Commercial Officer, announcing at a press conference that the model has already secured 16 sales to date. The shipyard unveiled designs for the B.Now 60M and the B.Now 67M Oasis, the latter featuring the open aft deck with integrated pool pioneered by the Oasis 40M and now available on multiple Benetti models.

“The B.Now family is a significant achievement for Benetti, comprising 50M, 60M, 67M and 72M models, and is now one of the brand’s bestsellers,” Fanizza said.

Benetti B.Century 55M – with enclosed and open top deck

Fanizza then presented the evolution of the B.Century family, created in partnership with Cassetta Yacht Designers. Born out of the architecture shared by the likes of the 63m Metis, 65m Zazou, 67m Calex and the 65m Triumph – another world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show – the B.Century family includes a range of models.

Two 55M projects comprise one with a generous sun deck open on all sides and another in which the top deck is transformed into an owner’s deck, with the master suite forward and a private aft terrace. The range also includes 62M, 68M and 75M models, the latter offering a Pool Club on one level and a Sea Club by the water.

Benetti B.Century 68M

“Their distinguishing character trait is the formal clarity of the sweeping lines that describe the yachts’ contours, featuring an uninterrupted flow of lines that define volumes expressing Benetti’s unmistakable stylistic identity,” Fanizza said.

Following the Group’s commitment to low-emission yachts, the B.Now and B.Century families are available with traditional, hybrid or diesel-electric propulsion systems.

Benetti 85m Project Oro

Meanwhile, the Group unveiled the 85m Project Oro, also by Cassetta, which features a remarkable exterior design characterised by continuous curves and slats, as well as a multi-level aft area open on both sides.

Cassetta said: “During the development of Project Oro, we wanted to seize the opportunity to express numerous innovative concepts, aspiring to bring them together in a unique yacht.

Benetti 85m Project Oro

“By developing a language of style featuring great visual purity and strong characterisation of the main masses, and by renouncing the criteria of civil architecture in favour of a freer and more fluid approach, we have tried to propel the project into an attainable future.

“We hope the bold content recognises a series of desires that customers in this size range frequently express and are unlikely to have found fulfilled by the boats they have looked at so far.”

Gulf Craft unveiled its plans for the all-new Majesty 160, which will be the company’s second largest superyacht and follows the announcement of the Majesty 111 at this year’s Dubai International Boat Show.

Designed by Italy’s Cristiano Gatto, the Majesty 160 goes into production this year at Gulf Craft’s main production facilities in Umm Al Quwain. The UAE builder is renowned for building the world’s largest composite-built production superyacht, the Majesty 175 delivered late last year, also designed by Gatto.

Mohammed Alshaali, the co-founder and Chairman of Gulf Craft, said: “The Majesty 160 is an evolution of our Majesty 155 and follows the new design precedent of our Majesty line-up, which was introduced earlier this year with the Majesty 111.

Cristiano Gatto designed the exterior of the 50m superyacht

“The Majesty 160 will be our second-largest vessel and will be a class apart in its segment, catering to the needs and requirements of customers through its exceptional design, architecture and state-of-the-art engineering and technological features.”

Dutch studio Van Oossanen Naval Architects handled the hull design of the Majesty 160, which has an overall length of 164ft (50m) and a volume of 498GT. Twin 2,000hp MTU 16V 2000 M87 engines provide a top speed of almost 20 knots and a range of 3,500nm at 12 knots or 4,300nm at 10.8 knots.

The Majesty 160 has two pairs of zero speed carbon fin stabilisers, twin 100kW generators and solar panels at the top of the sun deck roof capable of powering one of the generators, so reducing fuel consumption.

Outdoor areas include a three-sided beach club

Exterior areas include an expansive sun deck with modular and moveable furniture along with an infinity pool and a customisable, multi-purpose beach club that can be used as a lounge, bar area, gym or health club. The swim platform provides easy access to the water, while fold-down balconies on both sides expand the sunbathing and social areas.

The smart layout has an innovative climate control system and accommodates up to 12 guests across its seven staterooms, which include a full-beam master suite forward on the main deck that includes a private lounge, retractable balcony and a large bathroom with both bath and shower room. The yacht can also accommodate up to nine crew.

Interior of the Majesty 160

Wing stations on the main deck aid manoeuvring in and out of tight marinas and ports, while options include a helm station on the sun deck. The Majesty 160 draws just 2.3m so can cruise shallow areas, enabling close beach access due to its ground-breaking engineering and use of a lightweight, sturdy composite hull.

“Our ongoing expansion plans, extensive global dealer network and a distinct product portfolio have seen us build a strong foothold in international markets, especially in Europe and the United States, where we have witnessed a demand for larger lightweight yachts which provide competitive fuel economy and easy access to shallow waters,” Alshaali said.

“We have listened to our customers and have created the Majesty 160, which reinstates our position as the world’s leader in composite hull production.”

Even in the face of ongoing supply issues for yacht builders, heavy shipping delays and other pandemic-related complications, demand for superyachts in Asia remains strong. For many of the world’s leading luxury yacht production builders, the region remains a key market distinguished by an appetite for larger models compared to other markets around the world.

AZIMUT-BENETTI

Azimut’s superyacht offerings are focused on its Grande series, although it now produces large models in other ranges such as the new Magellano 30 Metri. Yet even before the model has debuted, Marine Italia has sold a unit that’s scheduled to arrive in Hong Kong in 2024.

Azimut Magellano 30 Metri

The Grande 26 Metri and 36 Metri were among Azimut’s premieres at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival and a unit of the former has already been ordered for Hong Kong in 2023 through Marine Italia, which also operates in the city as Azimut Yachts Hong Kong.

However, the company also represents Azimut in Macau, China’s Guangdong province, Taiwan and Singapore, where late last year it sold a 38m Grande Trideck. Asia’s first unit of the Italian builder’s biggest-ever model is scheduled to arrive next year for an owner upgrading from a smaller Grande.

Azimut Grande 26 Metri

Such sales build on the huge success of other Grande models across Asia, which include two hulls of the former flagship 35 Metri in Hong Kong, multiple hulls of the 32 Metri in Singapore and further hulls of those two models along with the 27 Metri and 25 Metri in markets across the region, sold by Marine Italia and other dealers.

Furthermore, recent mainland China sales include a Grande S10, which is the super-sleek flagship of Azimut’s S Collection of sportbridge models and has an overall length of almost 29m (94ft).

Benetti Oasis 40M

Benetti, Azimut’s sister company, is one of the world’s leading superyacht and megayacht builders, earning headlines in recent years for delivering a trio of 100m-plus ‘gigayachts’ – the 108m Luminosity, 108m IJE and 107m Lana.

Its recent sales into Asia include the globally successful Oasis 40M, with one delivered to a North Asia buyer who’s currently keeping it in Europe, and another sold last year to Singapore for a 2023 delivery, a deal secured in collaboration with Marine Italia for an owner upgrading from an Azimut.

Benetti B.Yond 37M

Furthermore, a unit of the upcoming B.Yond 37M, the first model in the brand’s new ‘Voyager’ series, has been sold to Southeast Asia, with delivery expected next year.

Benetti’s other new models include the Oasis 34M that debuted at Cannes in September, while the patented Oasis Deck® has become available across the B.Now family (50M, 60M, 67M, 72M), meaning the ‘beach club extraordinaire’ can be incorporated on models from 34-72m.

FERRETTI GROUP

Ferretti Group includes seven yacht-building brands and five of them sell sub-50m superyachts into Asia, while CRN’s custom builds are also popular across Asia-Pacific, but its recent models are too big to be included in this feature.

Ferretti Yachts 1000 in Taiwan

Asia’s first Ferretti Yachts 1000 is among this year’s most exciting new arrivals, especially as the brand’s flagship only debuted at the Venice Boat Show last year before being shown at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

This region’s first FY1000 was delivered in April to Taiwan, where the 30m flybridge motor yacht began its cruising around the southwest city of Kaohsiung. The yacht was bought by an owner with experience of chartering superyachts in Europe and the sale was completed by Amal Yachting, which has represented Ferretti Yachts, Pershing and Riva in Taiwan since 2019.

The Taiwan unit has a colourful interior full of paintings and includes a beautifully appointed full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck and four roomy guest cabins on the lower deck.

Pershing 140

However, hull one of the sensational Pershing 140 is arguably the most powerful and mind-blowingly innovative new superyacht in Asia in recent years, with the streamline ‘rocket-ship’ among a growing family of superyachts that reside at the new Lantau Yacht Club in Discovery Bay.

Chorusline was bought by an experienced owner who had also acquired multiple Rivas including the first 100’ Corsaro, the brand’s flagship when its world premiere was held in Hong Kong in 2017. The first Pershing 140 was sold by Starship Yachts founder and owner Edwin Ho, while the interior of Chorusline was designed by his wife Edith Ho and features a customised layout.

Other large Pershing models sold in Asia include a Pershing 108 in Thailand, while the builder’s new superyacht models include the GTX116 scheduled to launch in early 2023.

Custom Line Navetta 30 in Hong Kong

Custom Line could lay claim to Asia’s most popular superyacht of recent years with the Navetta 30 model that debuted in late 2020 already securing five sales in Hong Kong and Singapore alone. After the world-premiere hull arrived in Hong Kong in early 2021, a second hull was sold late last year to a first-time yacht owner by Fraser Asia and Ferretti Group Asia Pacific soon after it arrived in the city.

In Singapore, a Navetta 30 bought by a repeat Ferretti Group client is due to arrive in late 2022 following a sale by local dealer Hong Seh Yachting that marks the first new Custom Line bought in the city. The unit will feature an ‘Asia-Pacific layout’ and incorporate a range of tailor-made features.

Custom Line Navetta 42

Two more units of the Navetta 30 are set to arrive in Hong Kong in 2023 and 2024 following sales by Ferretti Group Asia Pacific and local dealer Starship Yachts respectively. The brand’s other sales into the region include a Custom Line 120’ in Hong Kong and Navetta 33 units in Hong Kong and Thailand.

However, the biggest Custom Line model sold in Asia to date is a Navetta 42, which is set to arrive in Asia by the end of 2023 and was the brand’s 137ft flagship until the recent launch of the Custom Line 140’, which debuted at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival.

Riva 90’ Argo

All three of Riva’s superyachts from its Flybridge range have proved popular in Asia. The first hull of the current trio, the 100’ Corsaro, even had its world premiere in Hong Kong back in 2017, although the model has since been succeeded by the brand-new 102’ Corsaro Super, which premiered at Cannes this year.

The magnificent 110’ Dolcevita has been sold to Hong Kong and mainland China, while the 90’ Argo is also present in Hong Kong and mainland China.

If there was one model to match the excitement of the arrival of the Pershing 140 into Asia, it could be Wally’s groundbreaking four-engine Wallywhy200.

Wallywhy200

A world premiere at Cannes last year, the first Wally Hybrid Yacht (WHY) introduced the world to an 88ft 8in semi-displacement widebody with a 25ft-plus beam, 15ft 5in-high bow and a staggering volume of 200GT.

Ferretti Group Asia Pacific expects the first Wallywhy200in Asia to arrive in early 2023, with the tailored unit featuring Loro Piana interiors and a formal dining area in the bow of the main deck, which has 270-degree views and was configured as a master suite on hull one and other units.

SANLORENZO SUCCESS

Sanlorenzo’s rapid rise to rank among the world’s leading luxury yacht builders has been reflected in the brand’s success in this region, where it has been represented by Simpson Marine as Sanlorenzo Asia since 2015.

A Sanlorenzo SX112 arriving in Hong Kong

Sanlorenzo Asia’s largest sale is a 52Steel set to launch in Italy this summer before making its way to its new home in Southeast Asia, but the model is just above this feature’s size limit.

Sub-50m models from Sanlorenzo’s Superyacht range that have sold into Asia include the Alloy, a 44.5m, 440GT model that debuted in 2020, with hulls already present in Singapore and Hong Kong. Others include the first 47m 500Exp, Ocean Dreamwalker 3, for an Asian owner who continues to use it in remote regions around the world.

Sanlorenzo SX112 in Hong Kong

Among the builder’s various Yacht ranges, all three current SX models have been sold into Asia, led by the imposing SX112, a model that debuted at the Genoa International Boat Show in October 2020 before two hulls arrived in Hong Kong in late 2021 and June 2022.

Most of the brand’s SD semi-displacement models have been sold into the region, including the 38m series-flagship SD126, with a 2018 build sold into Singapore and a hull arriving in Hong Kong last year, while the SD96 that debuted in 2019 has been sold into Hong Kong and Thailand.

Sanlorenzo SL90A in Hong Kong

However, the newest SD model sold into Asia is the SD118, which was among Sanlorenzo’s three world premieres at the 2021 Cannes show. Sanlorenzo Asia soon sold two units of the SD118, with the first expected to arrive in Asia later this year followed by the second in 2023.

The SL90A, from the builder’s range of planing yachts, was also among Cannes premieres in 2021 and Sanlorenzo Asia quickly sold a unit of the new asymmetric model, which arrived in Hong Kong earlier this year.

Sanlorenzo SL96A in Singapore

Other SL units in Asia include the pioneering SL102A and the SL96A that debuted at Boot Dusseldorf 2020, with a hull of the latter arriving in Asia in 2021.

BEST OF BRITAIN

Sunseeker’s newly launched 100 Yacht only had its global debut at Cannes in September, yet the Poole shipyard has already secured the sale of a hull into this region, which is scheduled to arrive in North Asia in late 2023.

Sunseeker 100 Yacht

NextWave Yachting was appointed as Sunseeker’s dealer in Hong Kong last year and recently secured the sale of Asia’s first 88 Yacht, which was among the brand’s ‘Famous Five’ models launched last year and features one of the most refined interiors of any of the builder’s yachts.

The 100 Yacht and 88 Yacht are part of a new-look Yacht range from 76-100ft that also includes the beamy, high-volume 90 Ocean and its enclosed version, the Ocean 182, representing its volume in GT.

Sunseeker 88 Yacht

However, demand continues for the builder’s popular 116 Yacht and 131 Yacht models, which have each sold multiple units in Asia including a brand-new, black-hulled 116 destined for Japan that has been described as the model’s most customised edition to date.

In total, Sunseeker has sold 18 units from 100-131ft (30-40m) to Asia, while new designs in its Superyacht range include the 42M Ocean and 50M Ocean, with updates to be revealed at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show.

Princess X95

Princess transformed its superyacht offerings when the Plymouth builder stopped production of the 100ft-plus M Class range (30M, 35M, 40M) and switched its focus to the new X Class and larger Y Class models. The decision has proved a winner, with Asia already welcoming multiple units of the widebody X95 – a model premiered online in July 2020 – and more coming.

Southeast Asia’s first X95 arrived in Phuket earlier this year through long-time dealer Boat Lagoon Yachting, which confirmed that two more units of the 29m ‘super flybridge’ flagship will arrive in Singapore and Thailand in 2023.

Hull one of the Princess Y95

A representative of Princess since 1994, Boat Lagoon Yachting has also secured the ‘world premiere’ hull of the Y95 – which recently exited its shed in Plymouth – as well as an X80 due to arrive in Southeast Asia in early 2023. Meanwhile, the dealership has secured a remarkable six sales of the Y85 in the region in the past couple of years.

Hong Kong’s first Princess X95 arrived last year and was followed by two more deliveries earlier this year. An X80 is also scheduled to arrive in the city later this year, while Japan’s first X95 was delivered to her owner in June.

AND THERE’S MORE

The first hull of the upcoming MCY 105 Skylounge was sold to Asia last year and is expected to arrive in Hong Kong in 2023.

Monte Carlo Yachts MCY 105 Skylounge

Built by Italy’s Monte Carlo Yachts and designed by the Venice-based Nuvolari Lenard studio, the MCY 105 Skylounge features a 43sqm enclosed flybridge and is the third model in the builder’s Skylounge Collection following the MCY 70 and MCY 76 versions released in 2020.

Meanwhile, the first Gentleman’s Yacht 24 by Codecasa is scheduled to be delivered to Southeast Asia in 2023. The newly designed aluminium build was sold last year by Carmen Lau of Camper & Nicholsons, with the contract signed at the Monaco Yacht Show.

Codecasa 24m Gentleman’s Yacht

Camper & Nicholsons has represented Tecnomar and Admiral in Hong Kong and mainland China since late last year and the company is marketing the newly launched hull of the Tecnomar Evo 120, Lucy, with Asia already home to two units of the aluminium superyacht.

Meanwhile, the second hull of the Columbus Atlantique 43 was sold to an owner in Asia last year, with the curvaceous 141-footer scheduled to arrive in 2023.

Columbus Atlantique 43

Waiting times may have increased during Covid, but it appears that the demand for superyachts in Asia has also risen.

Sanlorenzo’s Superyacht Division and Fraser have announced the sale of a Sanlorenzo 73Steel, which is the shipyard’s largest build to date and due for delivery in 2026. Bought by an existing Sanlorenzo yacht owner, the 73Steel is the ninth metal yacht sold by Sanlorenzo this year, increasing the fleet currently under construction to 23 superyachts from 44-73m.

Featuring exterior lines by Zuccon International Project, Sanlorenzo’s new 73m flagship will have a diesel-electric propulsion system aimed at minimising emissions and a “completely unconventional layout that will take the connection between interior and exterior and between man and nature to another level”, according to the shipyard.

Bernardo Zuccon said: “The design of the new 73Steel represents a fascinating new chapter in the yard’s history, not only because of its size, which is currently the largest ever built, but also because it is a testament to how strongly the company believes in the evolution and importance of a complex market such as the superyacht market.

“As designers, we’re proud to participate in this new adventure, basing our project research on the development of a design that, despite the large volumes available, is able to convey extreme dynamism, sportiness and contemporaneity.”

Sanlorenzo is participating at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show with a new 62Steel, Alchemist, and an Alloy, Sailing Grace, launched in 2021.

The 62Steel has a volume of 1,350GT and six decks including an upper deck dedicated to the exclusive use of the owner. The main deck starts with a large pool featuring a transparent floor.

The first 62Steel, Cloud 9, was premiered at last year’s Monaco Yacht Show. Four units have been sold to date, the third of which is scheduled for delivery in early 2023. The fourth unit has grown to a length of 64m and will be renamed 64Steel.

The Alloy has sold 10 units to date. Made entirely of aluminium, the 44.5m superyacht has a Bernardo Zuccon exterior. Special features include an owner’s cabin conceived as a private apartment of 147sqm and organised on three levels connected to each other, with an indoor and an outdoor area.

Built by CRN at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, the 62-metre Rio is fun, colourful, breezy and bright – and among the standout world premieres at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show.

Four decades after Duran Duran released the hit single Rio (“Her name is Rio…”), CRN launches a 62m yacht of the same name. Custom designed for an owner looking to “share the cruising experience with family and close friends”, Rio truly delivers.

She has spent her first summer season in the Mediterranean and more than lived up to her owner’s expectations ahead of the yacht’s much-anticipated world premiere at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show.

Featuring four social decks plus a technical deck, Rio offers plenty of space for up to 12 guests, with her outdoor and indoor areas similarly colourful, spacious and inviting.

Her name is Rio

Colourful cabins in an array of blues, yellows, reds and greens include a magnificent master suite on the upper deck, known here as the owner’s deck.

There’s a stunning full-beam VIP forward on the main deck and another full-beam VIP on the lower, where there are two more roomy doubles and a twin. And it’s quick and easy to get around Rio, with an elevator serving all levels.

OMEGA, PULINA STYLING

Built as Project C138 at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard, the 1,218GT megayacht was launched this January before being delivered and leaving Ancona in May.

The beach club includes a big swim platform

Dutch studio Omega Architects created the exterior of the sporty-looking looking steel and aluminium build, which features flowing hull lines and a near-vertical bow. The aft main deck profile shows Omega founder Frank Laupman’s signature arches, which protect the deck and assure privacy while framing superb views from the side and stern.

Outdoor areas include a bow lounge with a spa pool and clear deck space for exercise or parties, while the sun deck has a huge spa pool and cinema zone aft of the wheelhouse. However, we’ll start at the beach club, where the big swim platform can be dressed with outdoor furniture and toys.

The wellness lounge has a hammam, shower and racks of colourful water toys

Inside is the wellness lounge, which can be accessed from the swim platform through a rising central door or from the main-deck saloon by stairs.

As well as a hammam and shower, the wellness lounge has a range of water toys, a large TV that doubles as an interactive whiteboard for games and other entertainment, and a corner snug by the stairs.

The forward garage has double access

And if you’re looking for the big toys, an 8m Pascoe Beachlander tender, 4.2m rescue tender and two Sea-Doo Spark jetskis are stored high above the water in a garage towards the bow of the main deck, while there’s also a 14m Sacs Rebel 47 luxury RIB.

MAIN ATTRACTIONS

On the main deck, the aft cockpit offers an enormous covered lounging space with a wide aft sofa, smaller sofas on either side, coffee tables and fuschia-coloured poufs.

The aft cockpit offers an enormous lounging space overlooking the water

Like the beach club, it offers a hint of the lively colours that await behind the sliding glass door to the saloon, where the styling by Italy’s Pulina Exclusive Interiors is on show.

American walnut is used for the floors, while the walls are in white lacquered oak. However, the owner requested “bright, colourful spaces and a happy atmosphere for the younger family members to enjoy”, so white tones and natural materials are set off by pops of colour and vivid décor inspired by exotic motifs.

The saloon starts with a bar and leads to a formal dining area

The saloon starts with a stylish American bar, bar stools and lounge chairs, with the area acting as a chilled hangout zone before the room widens for the formal dining area and a large sofa facing an 83in TV. Full-height windows light up the dining and lounging area and offer spectacular views.

Further along, the central lobby features the elevator and an elegant staircase in bleached pickled oak, while white-leather wall coverings with continuous stitching give a smooth quilted look.

A TV lounge is forward of the dining area

A corridor leads past the large galley and to the full-beam VIP suite, grand enough to be considered a second master. The hallway leads past a huge walk-in wardrobe and into the main bedroom, featuring white tones and bright-blue profiling.

A forward-facing, king-size bed is flanked to starboard by a cosy coffee area, and to port by a desk; at the owner’s request, there’s a workspace in the three largest cabins. Forward are two symmetrical bathrooms.

COLOUR BELOW

Down from the main-deck lobby to the lower deck, there’s a fully equipped gym to starboard and four en-suite guest cabins, each with white lacquered-oak staved walls spiced up with dashes of colour for the wall panels, profiling and furnishings. Crema d’Orcia and Calacatta Vagli Oro marbles grace the guest bathrooms.

The lower deck includes one of Rio’s two VIP suites

Aft is the full-beam VIP, lit up by shades of red and brown, and featuring a forward-facing bed and a desk on starboard, while to port is a walk-through wardrobe leading to a twin-sink bathroom.

To port, playful pastel greens are the theme for a twin cabin with a Pullman bunk, a room ideal for youngsters. Forward are two identical double suites, each lined in green/blue with pops of yellow.

The twin cabin also has a Pullman bunk

All the cabins and guest areas include smart-automation technology allowing guests to control air conditioning, curtains, lighting (including brightness) and all AV equipment.

The spacious crew quarters are in the forward part of the lower deck and include a huge crew mess with seating for at least 15, a pantry and seven neatly finished cabins.

SKY LOUNGE & PARTY ZONE

The upper deck features the vast master suite and is termed on Rio as the owner’s deck, but it would be a pity to think family and friends couldn’t enjoy its three enormous and very distinct social spaces.

The upper deck offers alfresco dining aft

The partially covered aft deck features a full-beam row of sofas and chairs that face the yacht’s main alfresco dining area, where there’s a custom-made round teak table. To port is an American bar with barbecue in exquisite Irish Green marble with bright-green veining.

The area can also transform into an open-air party zone with DJ console, while a custom-designed RGB lighting installation completes the effect.

With the console connected to the ship’s Domotics system, the audio can be broadcast throughout the yacht, indoors and out, in a controlled way. The area is a natural hub, with stairs to both the main and sun decks, side walkways to the vast bow lounge and direct access to the most spacious interior zone.

The sky lounge is the most spacious room on the yacht

Automatic sliding glass doors unveil the huge sky lounge, which has masses of space between the sofas and chairs lining each side of the room.

Full-height windows offer breathtaking views and lots of natural light for this standout social zone, which can also be used as a cinema, games room or meeting room.

The master suite is forward on the upper deck

Forward, the hallway to the owner’s suite features hand-painted artworks depicting a jungle full of colourful animals, with the bespoke pieces created at the owner’s direction.

The blue-themed owner’s suite starts with a chaise longue and vanity desk to starboard, while there’s an antique-blue leather top on the shelves and storage running around much of the room.

The owner’s bathroom offers spectacular views

Calacatta Vagli Oro marble on the walls and Crema d’Orcia marble floors. Its unique feature is a spectacular tub by the windows for enjoying the view from the comfort of a warm bath.

Forward, the fully custom king-size bed features a white-leather headboard with a 3D effect from the vertical petrol-blue leather inlay. To port, the study area has a desk that can rotate 90 degrees into an L-shape, so a sea view is also on offer.

Forward of the owner’s suite is the stunning bow lounge

The owner’s suite also has a forward view of the striking open-air bow lounge. Offering 1,240sqft of deck space, the area is centred around a teak spa pool, which is recessed for privacy from the helm station and to be out of the wind when cruising. If required, a canopy can protect it from the sun.

Otherwise, this vast outdoor space can be dressed with poufs, chairs and sun loungers, cleared for yoga and fitness sessions, or provide a stunning dance floor under the stars at night.

The sun deck has an aft pool, sunbathing and lounging areas, plus a bar

Meanwhile, the sun deck or wheelhouse deck offers a spacious outdoor zone with a pool, integrated sun pad along one side, sofas and an American bar with a similar Irish Green marble top to the bar on the deck below.

Like most of the outdoor areas, the area is highly versatile and can become a fully equipped open-air cinema or karaoke lounge, with a big screen and projector that slide down from the ceiling.

At night, the sun deck can become a cinema

However, this yacht truly makes her mark in the day, when her light, bright interiors, knockout views, and lively outdoor zones make you realise why yachting is so much fun. So, if you’re looking for 62m of fun in the sun and colour all around you, head for Rio.
