Versilcraft has launched the first SportAdventure 45, a first steel/aluminium yacht in a new series of designs by Optima Design. Antonio Luxardo of Optima Design is also working on designs from 52-70m for the SportAdventure series, which blends traditional and explorer yacht designs.
The SportAdventure 45’s owner is a long-time customer of Versilcraft and sought an entirely custom yacht, adding his own input from more than a decade of his experience aboard his own yachts. The build was supervised by the owner’s team and assisted by Luxardo and Daniele Perotto.
Optima Design works on projects from conception to realisation, developing all the engineering from the basic naval architecture to the detailed workshop drawings. The 45m, 499GT SportAdventure 45 features an enormous three-section main saloon measuring 17m in length and 6m wide containing a lounge, dining table athwartships and forward TV area.
The upper deck contains an owner’s suite and a private cinema plus a 40sqm private open deck, providing 110sqm dedicated to the owner. Guest accommodation includes a VIP suite on the main deck and three guest cabins, while there’s also a 24sqm beach club, an air-conditioned engine room, and a bow garage for 14ft and 23ft tenders.
