Torqeedo offers industry-leading warranty on electric outboards

Torqeedo has increased the warranty on its lightweight Travel 603 and 1103 motors from two to five years. The Germany-based pioneer of electric motors, which has its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Bangkok, launched the Travel series of motors in 2005.

Even more importantly, they’re incredibly reliable, which is why we’re now offering a five-year manufacturer warranty on all new Travel motors.

The Travel 1103 (3hp) and has a 915Wh battery

“Longer warranties provide peace of mind that Travel motors withstand the marine environment with superior longevity and allow more boaters to experience the joy of cleaner, quieter, emission-free time on the water with their family and friends.”

Torqeedo describes the Travel 1103 and Travel 603 motors as “the lighter, quietest outboards in their respective power classes”. Each comes with a high-performance lithium-ion battery and a built-in onboard computer with GPS and remaining range and charge status.

The Travel 1103 and its battery weigh 17kg in total

Travel motors boast a durable direct-drive motor, industrially engineered to provide superior efficiency. The Travel 603 (2hp) weighs 15.5kg and has a 4.2kg 500Wh battery, while the Travel 1103 (3hp) has a high-capacity 915Wh battery yet weighs just 17kg in total.

The Travel 1103 and 603 now offer a five-year warranty

The new five-year warranty applies to all Travel motors shipped on or after April 28, 2023. Customers must register their product online at Torqeedo.com to be eligible for the warranty extension.
