Sunreef Yachts has revealed details of the 60 Sunreef Eco Power, the latest design in the Polish builder’s new Eco range which was announced in April 2020 and designed to offer ‘eco-responsible’ catamarans.
Solar panels on the 60 Sunreef Eco Power will cover up to 68.6sqm (738sqft) of surface area, extending the solar-energy generation to 13kWp. Sunreef has developed its own proprietary state-of-art solar-power system and panels are fully integrated with hull sides, superstructure and curved areas all over the yacht.
The 60 Sunreef Eco Power “uses cutting-edge electric engines powered from the dedicated ultralight battery bank for silent and vibration-free cruising”, according to the shipyard. Designed to offer a 360-degree sustainable cruising experience, the yacht has other green features including wind generators and eco-responsible finishing materials.
The exterior living spaces feature a vast flybridge, a full-beam bow terrace and aft cockpit, while other features include a garage and aft platform. Inside, the model offers multiple layout and décor options.
Nico Rosberg, the 2016 Formula 1 world champion and now sustainability entrepreneur and Sunreef Yachts Eco Ambassador, said: “It is great to see that the world’s most outstanding manufacturer of luxury catamarans shares my commitment to sustainable technological innovation and I am immensely proud to drive this development forward with Sunreef Yachts.
“It is through the introduction of green technology and sustainable materials in the luxury sector that we create a halo effect on the entire industry and manage to meet the future demands of even the most sophisticated customers.”
The 60 joins 70, 80 and 100 models in the Eco power range, while the Eco sailing range comprises 50, 60, 70 and 80 models.
