At this year’s Miami Grand Prix, Sunreef Yachts surprised F1 star Fernando Alonso with a vibrant painting of his upcoming 60 Sunreef Power Eco by Miami artist Alexander Mijares.
Alonso was the star of a Sunreef event attended by yacht owners, clients and friends aboard the Sunreef 80 Double Happiness and Sunreef 60 Valentine at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami.
During the evening, Sunreef presented Alonso with the distinctive artwork, whose colour palette and style are inspired by Miami’s dynamic street art scene and the Alpine driver’s F1 helmet design.
The physical painting was also captured digitally and transformed into an animated NFT designed exclusively for Alonso. In line with Sunreef’s sustainability policy, it was minted on the Solsea marketplace on the Solana blockchain, which is a carbon-neutral initiative.
“I really admire the way Sunreef Yachts combines innovation and creativity,” said Alonso, a two-time F1 world champion. “They are a trendsetting company with visionary ideas. I am proud to be one of their ambassadors and look forward to cruising my own electric Sunreef Yachts Eco catamaran.”
Alonso arrived at and left the event on a carbon-fibre e-bike from his sustainable lifestyle brand Kimoa. Officially premiered during the Miami Grand Prix week, the e-bike is impact-resistant, lightweight and can be customised to each rider’s preferences.
