Over a year since Project TØ was announced, Pershing has revealed that progress is being made on the first 35m unit by releasing images of work on the hull model at Ferretti Group’s Plug & Mould Plant.
The first hull is scheduled to arrive at Ferretti Group’s Mondolfo shipyard this summer, with the 115-footer’s official debut scheduled for 2022.
The shipyard’s technicians are using a variety of construction techniques, both traditional and milled blocks. The last stage will include the bodywork and flanging phase to produce the final mould, which will be transferred to the end production site in a complex handling operation involving eight loads.
“Pershing’s mix of innovation, cutting-edge technology and expert craftsmanship prepares to take the design and engineering challenges inherent in the TØ project to the next evolutionary level,” the shipyard stated.
Ferretti Group announced Pershing’s new TØ Project at Boot Dusseldorf in January 2020, outlining a new range of boats from 25-40m (82-131ft). Fulvio De Simoni, the designer of Pershing yachts since the brand was founded in 1985, has collaborated on Project TØ with Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department.
