N&J Thailand sells two superyachts

Northrop & Johnson has announced the sale of two superyachts by its Thailand office including the Sunseeker 131 Rhine. Yacht Brokers Jim Poulsen and Greg Dagge of Northrop & Johnson’s Thailand office acted on behalf of the buyer of Rhine, which was based in Hong Kong.

Launched by Sunseeker in 2012, Rhine was built for an Asian owner who wanted the ability to host large numbers of guests. The sundeck includes a jacuzzi and bar, while the aft garage houses a 20ft (6.2m) Pascoe jet tender and two jetskis.

The modern interior features high-gloss Sapele wood and Emperador marble. Accommodation includes a main-deck master suite with its own minibar and fridge, while the lower deck has a VIP stateroom and two convertible guest cabins, all with ensuite bathrooms.

The 97ft sailing yacht Taronga has been based in Phuket

A day earlier, Northrop & Johnson had announced the sale of the 97ft Taronga, with Thailand-based Poulsen representing the buyer and the seller as a joint central agent.

The sailing yacht was designed by Sparkman & Stephens and was the sixth of only 11 Maxi 88s built between 1989 and 2005 at the CIM shipyard in Rochefort, France. Taronga underwent extensive modifications from CIM engineers in 2013/2014 and an exterior and interior refit in 2017

On deck, the yacht has a 45sqm covered cockpit with two large settees, while forward are sunpads and a sofa. Below, the saloon has two large sofas, a dining table and a bar, while there’s also a fully equipped commercial galley. Accommodation comprises three double guest cabins and three crew cabins.
