Over 160 athletes participated in this year’s Nautique IWWF Asia Wakefest Hong Kong, the first time the event has been held in the SAR since 2019. Attracting hundreds of spectators, the event in Tai Po Waterfront Park included wakeboard and wakesurf competitions, with  men, women and youth categories.

Nautique, represented in Hong Kong by Asia Yachting, title sponsored the event following five years of sponsorship from 2015 through 2019. This year, Nautique supplied new Super Air Nautique GS22 and Super Air Nautique G23 wake boats for the competition.

Competition was intense between the local and international athletes. Winners included Hong Kong duo Dawnee Kanjanapas in Open Women Surf and Kaitlyn Gemma Wong in Junior Women Skim, Japan’s Haruki Komatsu in Men’s Open Wakeboard, Korean Jeon Seobeen in Men’s Junior Wakeboard and Chinese Taipei for Best Team.

“We would like to thank the Hong Kong Wake Ski Association (HKWSA), supporting staff, volunteers and all the participating athletes,” Asia Yachting stated. “See you all next year.”
