The Marina Industries Association (MIA) has awarded Singapore’s Marina at Keppel Bay with the 5 Gold Anchor rating for the fourth consecutive time following its recent audit. YP Loke, Chairman of the Singapore Boating Industry Association, made the 5 Gold Anchor presentation to Marina Manager Selvaraj Arivananthan and Marina Supervisor Zailani Mahlan.
The international accreditation involves an independent assessment that covers over 100 criteria across all areas of the business including service, facilities and infrastructure, and includes a survey of customers.
Khoo Peck Khoon, General Manager of Marina at Keppel Bay, said: “We are honoured that Marina at Keppel Bay has been accredited with the 5 Gold Anchor rating for the fourth consecutive time. We are encouraged by the recognition from MIA, which will spur us further as we continue to deliver the best in premier yachting and luxury lifestyles.”
Marina at Keppel Bay was first awarded the 5 Gold Anchor rating in 2010. The Marina has been committed to the programme since and has achieved consecutive reaccreditation of the 5 Gold Anchor rating in October 2014, July 2017 and now February 2021.
Andrew Chapman, President of the MIA, said: “It is great to see Marina at Keppel Bay once again recognised for its outstanding facility. It is more than a quality marina; it offers its customers and visitors a waterfront lifestyle experience.”
The Gold Anchor programme provides boat and marina users with a simple way to determine which marinas best fit their needs through a system similar to star ratings for hotels. It is also used as a business-improvement tool by marinas that seek to increase their Gold Anchor rating by providing additional services and facilities.
