Lagoon, Leopard and Bali are among leading catamaran builders set to show 2022 models at the International Multihull Show in France from April 20-24. The show was cancelled in 2020 and 2021, but organisers are confident this year’s edition will go ahead in its traditional location in La Grande Motte on the south coast.
Lagoon, the world’s biggest cat builder, will stage the world premiere of its 51 as it continues to freshen its mid-range models following the launch of its 55 last year.
The five-day show usually draws good crowds
The Groupe Beneteau builder also plans to display its 42, 46 and Sixty 5 sailing catamarans, while Excess, also part of Groupe Beneteau, will show its 11, 12 and 15 models.
Bali is scheduled to stage the global debut of its 4.4 alongside its Catspace Sail, 4.2, 4.6, 4.8 and flagship 5.4 sailing cats, while sister company Catana will debut its 50ft Ocean Class.
Leopard will again be among exhibitors
Leopard is set to hold the European premiere of its 46 Powercat following the model’s world debut at the Miami International Boat Show (February 16-20), and will also display its 53 Powercat and 42, 45 and 50 sailing models. Meanwhile, Fountaine Pajot is set to exhibit its Isla 40, Elba 45, Tanna 47 and Alegria 67 sailing models and the MY4.S and MY6 powercats.
“We can hardly wait and are already raring to go,” stated organiser M2. “The enthusiasm for multihulls is intact. This show devoted entirely to multihulls already promises to be an impressive one, with so many new products concerning sailboats as well as the increasing number of motor boats.
The Multihull Club Design zone
The Multihull Club Design area will be dedicated to creativity in the areas of innovation, design and architecture, while the exhibitors’ village will showcase multihull equipment, deck hardware, sails, engines and services.
