Galeon debuted its new 325 GTO in Florida on Thursday, the start of a week-long display in MarineMax’s Clearwater base before the US dealer takes the yacht on a two-month tour of Florida. Galeon’s dealers in Asia include Asiamarine, which has offices in Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore.
The 325 GTO is the first model in the brand’s new Grand Touring Outboards collection and, like all Galeon models, is designed by Tony Castro, also renowned for his superyacht designs. The GTO range is expected to include models over 40ft in the coming years.
Powered by twin Mercury Verado 350hp engines, the sporty motor yacht has an overall length of 32ft 9in (9.99m), a beam of 10ft 11in (3.28m) and a hardtop with an extendable sunblind. Best known for its models from 40-70ft, Galeon expects its new 33-footer to widen its client base.
Jacek Kobylko, President of Galeon Yachts, said: “Galeon Yachts is an aspirational brand for many and we are extremely honoured to bring hallmark quality, design and innovation to the brand-new 325 GTO. This outboard-powered, feature-rich 32ft craft ensures Galeon is attainable for a larger audience of boating and yachting enthusiasts.”
The versatile yacht has a unique fold-down platform to port, while the aft bench seating can face fore or aft. The single-level deck includes a wet bar and grill to port, an L-shaped sofa and two power-adjustable helm seats.
The wide beam is continued far forward so the bow area offers a large, comfortable seating area, where U-shaped seating can be filled in with cushions for a large sunbathing area. Other features include a stunning multi-colour lighting package and integrated audio and speaker system.
Below deck is a dinette that can be converted to a bed, a double cabin and a full-height bathroom with shower, while the stairs can be folded up to create more room.
Chuck Cashman, MarineMax Chief Revenue Officer, said: “Galeon seems to have no boundaries for design and innovation, and always seems to be just ahead of the pack. What’s even more remarkable is they are so nimble and innovative without ever compromising on quality. It’s a wonderful blend of leading-edge innovation and design married to old-world quality.”
In Florida, the Galeon 325 GTO is available for viewings in Clearwater from January 20-26 before touring MarineMax dealerships in Sarasota (January 28-February 1), Venice (February 4-8), Pompano (February 11-15), Fort Myers (February 18-22) and Naples (February 25-March 1), with more stops to be confirmed.
