Galeon Asia has been established in Hong Kong, where it will be managed by Asiamarine. The regional dealer has represented the motor yacht builder in several key markets in Asia since 2016 and sold over 60 Galeon yachts to date.
As well as continuing to represent Galeon in Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand, Asiamarine will now also oversee coverage of a further nine markets in Asia. The new entity, Galeon Asia, will act as a regional centre with the ability to appoint and support dealers in new or underperforming markets.
Eric Noyel, founder and CEO of Asiamarine, will oversee the new business, while Asiamarine’s Michel Joly has been appointed General Manager of Galeon Asia.
Noyel said: “Galeon is entering a new era in its development. We are proud to have helped customers in Asia discover the brand and look forward to contributing to many more achievements. There is clear statistical evidence that the brand is growing fast and an improved geographical coverage coupled with new, very attractive models will establish Galeon as a leading player in the region.
“Michel [Joly] will lead this new era, building on his ties with the production team at the shipyard, the after-sales and the marketing support teams available in the region. I am truly excited to look forward to new partnerships in new countries and continuing to enjoy the growth of Galeon in this part of the world.”
Galeon’s new models in 2022 include the 375 GTO, the second model in the Grand Touring Outboards family, and the flagship 800 Fly, which premiered at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in late October and is being built in a new production facility. The 440 Fly and 560 Fly are among new models scheduled to debut in 2023.
