The MY4.S has a 4.75sqm ‘solarium’ on the foredeck

Fountaine Pajot plans to launch the first MY4.S power catamaran in La Rochelle this summer ahead of a potential world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

With architecture by Daniel Andrieu and interior design by Pierangelo Andreani, the 36ft 1in model with a 16ft 9in beam will be the French catamaran builder’s new entry-level motor yacht. The model will succeed the MY37, which has sold over 100 units sold and been Fountaine Pajot’s best-selling powercat.

The cockpit’s aft sofa can convert to a sunbed

As part of a rebranding of the motor yacht range, the MY40 is now called the MY5 and the MY44 is now the MY6, with the latter pair available with a new Millésime interior. Solar panels are offered as an option on all three models.

The MY4.S – which doesn’t have a flybridge like its two bigger sisters – has a flexible aft cockpit with an adjustable aft sofa and dining table, so guests can face forward or look over the water.

The interior has a galley to port, sofas to starboard and a large sunroof

There are sliding doors into the interior, which features a well-equipped galley to port, seating along the starboard side, a large sunroof and a twin-seat helm station. The foredeck has a triple sunpad or solarium, measuring almost 5sqm.

Accommodation is available in a Quatuor layout with four cabins, with each hull featuring two cabins sharing one bathroom, or the Maestro version with three cabins including a spacious 9sqm owner’s suite in the port hull. The standard propulsion is twin Yanmar 111kW 150CV engines.
