CL Yachts is offering a new interior package for its CLB88 in addition to the darker décor used on the first hull. A lighter Positano palette made up of softer greys and light oaks has been created by Jozeph Forakis.
The Milan-based designer also worked on the yacht’s original design and the original interior package, Milano, which is dominated by teak and walnut.
“The essence of CLB88 is trying to balance a sense of tradition and forward-thinking design, and I think you see that in full effect with the new interior option package,” Forakis said.
“We wanted to have a totally different feel between the palettes. When you step onboard the same boat with different palettes, the change in feeling is palpable, and we think our customers will really enjoy being able to have that choice.”
Other developments on the CLB88 include integrated carpeting in the aft section of the salon and extensive use of Corian and Fenix, a matt laminate that uses nanotechnology.
CL Yachts is also on schedule to debut hull one of CLB65 at this year’s Newport International Boat Show, which will be held in Rhode Island from September 15-18.
Following the CLB72 and CLB88, CLB65 is the new entry model for the B range and is designed for owner operation, with the brand featuring an aft galley for the first time along with other new features.
Martin Lo, Director of CL Yachts, said: “CLB65 will stand out for a lot of reasons. Our clients will enjoy the expansive windows, which include an up-down function on the port side and a flip-up window between the galley and cockpit. This is in line with our idea of bringing the outside in and inside out.”
The yacht features a resin-infused composite hull and strategic use of carbon-fibre. The model will be powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS1050 pods (with optional Assisted Docking system), and has a zero-speed fin stabilisation system. A second hull is already under construction.
