The Darwin 115 is 115ft long with a 25ft beam

Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) has launched the first Darwin 115, the largest yacht in its Darwin explorer range. Thailand-based dealer Lee Marine is a preferred partner of CdM, which is renowned for building ‘little ships’. The 115-footer with a 25ft 2in beam features a robust steel hull, high bow and redundant technical equipment for safe navigation in remote areas.

The experienced owner plans long-distance cruising to remote areas of the globe with family and friends. The yacht was designed as a 112-footer and grew 3ft as the owner decided to have a longer, enclosed swim platform, while the the yacht is also equipped for diving. The Darwin 115 has a range of 5,000m at 10 knots and a top speed of 13 knots with twin Caterpillar C18 ACERT engines.

Exterior lines and naval architecture are by Hydro Tec, while, at the owner’s request, Nauta Design worked on the interior of a Darwin class yacht for the first time, creating a luxurious, laid-back décor featuring bleached and brushed oak.

The lower deck includes a large swim platform surrounded by a high bulwark that partially folds down astern, a full-beam VIP suite and two large twin cabins with pullman beds. The main deck features a saloon, dining area and forward owner’s suite with full-height windows and extra insulation to reduce noise and vibrations.

The upper deck has been lengthened and strengthened astern to carry a three-tonne crane and two large tenders, while there’s also a large gym with Technogym and Home Fitness equipment. The sun deck features 100sqm of surface equipped with sun beds, a table for 12, bar and barbecue.
