Azimut-Benetti Group announced an order book of €1.2 billion (about US$1.4 billion) as of August 31, tripling the figure for the previous year. About €900 million of orders are for 80ft-plus models, while Asia-Pacific accounts for 15 per cent of sales.
The Group announced that 10 units of the Azimut’s flagship Grande Trideck had been sold before its world premiere at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival (September 7-12), while sales of Benetti’s Oasis 40M, which debuted late last year, have risen to 14.
Production value for the 2020/21 season was €850 million (US$1 billion), which was up €100 million on the previous year, with about two-thirds (€570 million) for 80ft-plus boats.
Marco Valle, CEO of Azimut-Benetti Group, said: “I close my first year as Group CEO fully aware that we have achieved the challenging objectives we set ourselves. I am also looking ahead to the upcoming season buoyed by the excellent order book, which has practically saturated production for the year that has just begun.”
