The Azimut-Benetti Group has topped the builder standings in the 2021 edition of the Global Order Book for 24m-plus yachts, with 100 projects totalling 3,521m in length ensuring it leads the list for the 21st successive year.
Azimut-Benetti had a 12 per cent share based on the 821 projects analysed in the report, which took account of 179 shipyards producing 24m-plus yachts (note that Ferretti Group, Sunseeker and Princess are not included in the Top Builders list).
Giovanna Vitelli, Group Executive Vice President, said: “We dedicate this win to everyone in our company and to our customers, whose confidence in us fills us with gratitude and honour. A challenging season awaits us, but we have got off to the best of starts, with an already sizeable order book and a total of nine new products in the pipeline with launches planned over the next 10 months.”
Azimut is launching its Grande Trideck in early 2021 and had already sold five units of the new 38m flagship by late December.
The Group’s new superyacht models include Benetti’s Diamond 145 and the spectacular Oasis 40M, which had sold 12 units by December following its world premiere at the Genoa International Boat Show in October.
Benetti has also sold two units of the B.Yond 37M, which is scheduled to debut later this year, while the first Motopanfilo 37M is also set for a 2021 debut. Benetti has also sold three units of the B.Now 50M, while six Custom yachts from 60m upwards are under construction in Livorno.
Azimut is represented by Marine Italia in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, southern China and Singapore.
