Damen Yachting will present the world premieres of the first Amels 60 Come Together and the 78m Full Custom Energy at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show from September 28-October 1. The Dutch-owned conglomerate will also present the 89m Here Comes The Sun, which makes its first appearance at the show since completing an extension and refit last year.
The Amels 60 is the first of a new generation of Amels Limited Editions models and Come Together was delivered to her owner this spring.
Featuring exterior design by Espen Øino, the 197-footer features distinctive lines and geometric shaping, while her custom interiors have been created by Winch Design and have a “relaxed and natural theme and a subtle masculine edge”, according to the yard.
The yacht has a volume of 830GT, a large sun deck, folding owner’s suite balcony plus hybrid power and propulsion technology Come Together has already proved popular on the charter market with her first season in the Med and is available through Y.CO.
The 78m Energy only set sail from the Damen Yachting shipyard in Vlissingen in July and appears in Monaco five years since her sale was confirmed at the 2017 edition of the show. The 2,885GT superyacht also features exterior design by Øino, whose team was also appointed to develop the general arrangement, with Zuretti Interior Designers handling the custom interiors.
The 89m Here Comes The Sun represents Damen Yachting’s refit expertise in Vlissingen Originally delivered in 2017, she returned to the Damen Yachting yard in 2020 under new ownership.
The new owner appointed Azure Yacht Design, the yard’s original partner for the naval architecture, to re-pen the build and changes included a 6m extension, a volume increase from 2,827GT to 2,977 GT, layout modifications, additional VIP accommodation and a full respray with colour change (click for article).
At the Monaco show, Damen Yachting will also be displaying its range of luxury yachting solutions at its hospitality area at J6 T-Central, where its team is introducing its including SeaXplorer and Yacht Support designs and the new Amels 80.
