The exclusive Amanpuri in Phuket is offering Ceclo electric pedal boats for its guests including for a special ‘Sunset Picnic’, offering a tranquil way for guests to enjoy fine food and drink while lazing on the water and watching the sun go down.
Available for up to two hours from 5pm each day, the Ceclo Sunset Picnic is for two guests and offers a choice of Mediterranean Sandwich Set, Classic Sandwich Set, Amanpuri Cuisine or Phuket Cuisine, ranging from THB2,200++ to 2,800++ per person.
Amanpuri, which has bought two units, is among the latest hotels and resorts in Asia-Pacific to offer Ceclo watercraft. Built in France, Ceclo models offer a peaceful, quiet ride and don’t require any boating skills or experience.
Hong-Kong based Embasea represents the brand in Asia and has already sold multiple units to leading hospitality brands in China, Thailand and New Caledonia.
Linnan Li, Sales Manager at Embasea, said: “Our partnership with Amanpuri in Phuket enables their guests to enjoy this wonderful experience for the coming season. Ceclo brings a new level of fun and a glamorous experience to any luxury resorts, beach clubs or private facilities that want to offer something special, unique and not seen on every beach.
“Ceclo and the electric pedal system talk to absolutely everybody and don’t only attract a small percentage of guests like the more extreme water toys. Ceclo is ideal for everyone from four years old to 99, for romantic couples, energetic group of friends, for a party or for a sightseeing cruise.”
The fibreglass craft has a stable catamaran design and yacht-like features such as a bimini, teak-like flooring and stainless-steel bow rail. Models are offered with many options to increase the potential use.
Li added: “Some of our clients use Ceclo for romantic sunset dining, early breakfast activities or cliff sightseeing cruises, with complementary drinks and catering. Ultimately, it’s an incredibly fun ‘floating island’.”
Ceclo has partnered with Yamaha to develop a patented yet simple electric propulsion system. The company says the boats are reliable and extremely easy to maintain, an important asset for resorts.
Linnan Li: “We know our clients need to offer the experience with the watercraft in the water, not in the garage. More than 100 Ceclo have been delivered around the world in the last three years and all are running smoothly.”
Ceclo craft were created with the resort business in mind, but the company is also developing a range of models, included an inflatable one, suitable as toys for yachts.
