Absolute plans to debut its Navetta 70 at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival, which will be held from September 10-15. The inland Italian builder, whose dealers in Asia include Absolute Marine in Hong Kong, is developing the model following the launch of the flagship Navetta 75, which premiered last year.
The Navetta 75 will incorporate Absolute signatures such as the open cockpit and flybridge aft deck. Both decks have infinity aft views through glass balustrades and can be dressed with modular furniture, such as facing sofas in the cockpit, which features an icemaker and a third mooring station.
The flexible, open design also features on the Navetta 75 and the brand’s most recent Fly models including the 60, 56 and new 52, which had its European debut at this year’s Cannes show.
The Navetta 70’s flybridge can also fit a long dining table and either a large outdoor galley and bar to port or matching wet bars on either side. The upper helm has a central pilot seat flanked by sofa seating, while the hard top can include an openable sunshade or feature fixed solar panels, an option introduced by Absolute in recent years.
The foredeck features a sofa and a large sunpad with an adjustable backrest that can be used for aft-facing seating. Other brand signatures include open lateral gunwales, covered walkways and extensive glazing on the main and lower decks.
Inside, themes include high ceilings, sliding doors and minimal use of steps on both the main and lower decks. The main deck features an aft galley and dining area before a saloon featuring sofas on three sides and a raised helm station.
However, the most notable change on the Navetta 70 is a “classic though highly contemporary interior design style” based on bleached timber in shades ranging from white to grey and black, with rounded corners on the furnishing accessories and bronzed details.
The saloon presents a new circular ceiling motif that’s repeated in other areas of the yacht, a free-standing table and an enlarged galley area.
The lower deck includes another Absolute signature, a forward master cabin, with a forward-facing doubled bed and a bathroom in the bow. Accommodation for eight guests also includes a full-beam VIP with en-suite midships and two twin guest cabins – one with sliding beds – that share a bathroom to port. Aft is the crew quarters, with two berths, a bathroom and a galley.
