The Absolute shipyard in Piacenza is developing a ‘Generation 2022’ 60 Fly scheduled to launch by June 2021 and premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September. A new addition to the Italian builder’s Flybridge series, which features models ranging from the 47 to the 72, the 60 Fly offers several configurations on both the indoor and outdoor layouts.
One of the most exciting possibilities is the beach club in the stern, an option seen on the new Navetta 64 and chosen by all buyers of that model so far, contributing to over a year’s worth of orders. On the 60 Fly, the cockpit is sheltered by a large flybridge overhang and features an ‘aft-deck terrace’ as its standard configuration, with modular furniture that can be arranged in different ways.
The area below the cockpit, accessible from the swim platform, can then either be used as a storage compartment or as a double crew cabin with ensuite head and direct access to the engine room.
Alternatively, the cockpit can incorporate a sofa with attached sunpad that sits on top of a walk-in ‘beach club’, which can be furnished with deck chairs, awnings and other accessories due to the increase in interior volume.
Multiple configurations are also offered on the main deck depending upon the owner’s desire for more social space or storage on board.
“The 60 Fly represents the characteristics of our high engineering, passion and future vision,” the shipyard stated. “Versatile and flexible in its design, the 60 Fly provides owners choices for how to enjoy the space on board, the social areas, the galley and storage capabilities. These thoughtful solutions are inspired by ergonomics and elegance, quintessential hallmarks of our creations.”
