Baglietto has followed appointments in Australia, Brazil and the Dominican Republic by announcing a new representative office in Singapore, to be managed by Alvin Chua of Monaco Yachts Asia. Chua has more than three decades of experience in the Asian yachting industry, while Monaco Yachts Asia will also serve as a service point for the La Spezia-based shipyard.
Fabio Ermetto, Baglietto’s CCO, said: “We’d had our eyes on Asia for some time. We wanted to find a partner capable of developing and promoting our brand on a market that is considerably far and different from ours. Alvin Chua, from Monaco Yachts Asia, surely has the experience and expertise to help us achieve this important objective.”
After recently announcing the sale of the ninth unit in the DOM line, Baglietto is set to host the world premiere of its hybrid-propulsion T52 at the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 12-17), where the 172ft superyacht will be among the largest yachts on display. The shipyard is then exhibiting the Dom133, Lee, at the Monaco Yacht Show (September 27-30).
“We are thrilled to be starting the new season,” Ermetto said. “We closed the nautical year with a sale and are now going to take part in the forthcoming international boat shows with our latest vessels, which have already met with huge success.
“Eight units of the T52 model have been sold and the sale of as many as nine DOMs as well as the T60 and other custom projects means that production is planned until 2026. The September boat shows will be an excellent opportunity to showcase the excellence of our products and Baglietto’s unfaltering commitment to increasingly sustainable, cutting-edge yachting.”
