Conrad has launched the first hull of its C144S design, Ace, in Gdansk on the country’s north coast. The 44.3m tri-deck has an 8.9m beam and a volume of 494GT, and is the largest luxury superyacht fully built in the country, usurping the shipyard’s 40m Viatoris launched in 2018.

Commissioned by a Swiss customer introduced to the shipyard by the Luxury Charter Group, the C144S is named as such because of its straight bow. UK-based firm Reymond Langton designed the exterior, Dutch firm Diana Yacht Design was responsible for naval architecture and engineering, while Italy-based M2 Atelier handled the custom interior and décor.

Ace was ordered in January 2020, with construction starting in July 2020. The yacht has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, and is fitted with twin Cat C18 ACERT engines, providing a cruising speed of 11 knots, a top speed of 13 and a range of 4,000nm at 10 knots.

After delivery to the client, Ace will be available for charter through Luxury Charter Group. The 145ft yacht has a draft of 2.45m and can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in five staterooms as well as nine crew members.
