Azimut is staging the American debut of the 68 Fly (Review, Issue 64) at this year’s Palm Beach International Boat Show (March 24-27), soon after the first hull in Asia arrived in Hong Kong at the beginning of March. As well as an exterior design by Alberto Mancini, the yacht has a choice of three internal layouts by Achille Salvagni, one with the galley aft and two forward.
The builder is displaying eight yachts at the Palm Beach show, with the 68 one of three Flybridge models along with the Azimut 60 and Azimut 78. The biggest Azimut on display is the flagship Grande Trideck, which was launched in 2021 and has already secured at least 15 sales.
Other Azimut models at the show include the Grande 27 Metri from the superyacht series, the S6 from the sportfly range, as well as the Verve 42 and Verve 47, which have already amassed over 80 orders between them. The builder is represented in the US by MarineMax and announced before the show that it recently enjoyed a 65 per cent year-on-year increase in sales in the country.
Also at the Palm Beach show, sister company Benetti is presenting the 47m Bacchanal, a four-deck yacht with a stainless steel hull and aluminium superstructure and featuring a custom-designed swimming pool clad in Sicis mosaics in the bow of the sun deck. Its interiors are by Mauricio Gómez de Tuddo and the Benetti Style Department.
